This was one of my nights I will never forget, even though it happened in 1970, it is forever etched in my mind.

When I was 15 years old and just old enough to be let out of the house, my friends and I would often walk into the city to hang out in our favourite night clubs. I guess there was no age restriction in those days, anyway we had a fun short cut which was a 2 mile concrete pipe which stretched across the bay.

It was getting very late,about 2 a.m. and my mate Geoff and I were about 100 meters from the end which was a small beach surrounded by cliffs with a stairway up. I was very surprised to see someone walking on the beach at that hour and pointed them out to Geoff...but as I watched the mysterious person was not actually walking but floating along the small beach. Then they kind of floated up onto a small ledge ..the moon was almost full so it was very bright, and the figure cast a distinct shadow onto the cliff face as it perched on this ledge.

What happened next was the clincher...suddenly I felt it had become aware that we were watching,and it raised it's arms to make the shape of a cross,then it just kid of fell forward and vanished before our eyes!

It was as if it just fell through a door to another dimension. Well, we just looked at each other and both said at the same time, "Did you see that?"

I had this theory that it was the ghost of someone who committed suicide by jumping off the cliff, but these days I'm more inclined to think it was some sort of inter dimensional explorer. Maybe I'll never know...
