UFO Sighting New Year's Eve

Received the following submission yesterday from UFO Digest reader Timothy R.

Here is Timothy's description of the event:

Right around after the new year arrived (January 1st, 2011, around 12:05am or so), me and my family went outside to observe the fireworks. My father points out the strange 3 orange glowing lights flying to our left straight; in a triangle shape. I took out my iPhone and took a picture of it. They flew in that direction for about 40 seconds and then they disappeared. If I remember correctly I could slightly see an outline of the triangle shape. Possible Chinese lanterns, but I'm not sure. The way they flew to the left, not straight up, in a triangle shape is just interesting. It wasn't windy outside.


I have focused on the circle in the above photo, enhanced it and created a negative image using Adobe Photoshop 7.0. Note the three balls of light and how they form a triangle!

I live in Clermont Florida and when I was reading the top article it really gave me chills.On January 1st of 2011 me and my family were at a friends house in Clermont by highway 27,after watching the N.Y.C ball drop,we went outside to see the neighbors display of fireworks from my friends house we could also see in a distance the fireworks at Walt Disney.At around 12:05 a.m. my 15 year old son notice this strange object in a triagle shape with multiple colors and no noise flying slow and very low above houses nearby,coming towards us.Me and my family walked closer to get a better view,we noticed a second object following but it was in a circular shape also with multiple lights.Then a third circular shape object with multiple lights followed,as we were getting closer a fourth object in a circular shape also with multiple light came up straight out of the woods in the back of this houses and followed the other three objects.The fourth object stopped and hovered over a house we had a straight view of this object there was no noise coming from this objects.I went to take a picture with my cameraphone and my phone had a terrible static and suddenly frozed.That day at 9 a.m. my son was outside walking the dog and he ran inside the house scared asking me if I heard loud sounds, I asked him why?(Just to see if he had infact heard what I had heard myself)He said 2 military jets f-15's flew by very low and a big helicopter followed,I had heard them also and the building I live in shook,I thought we had an earthquake.Later on that day (New Years Day)a friend told me that he had been pulled over by the police as he was going home on highway 27 nearby where we were,at around 12:00 a.m. and he seen 6 of the same objects we had also seen including the triangle shaped object,he asked the cop What is that?The cop stood looking and replied I dont know but its very strange.Then a few other people we know mentioned about seen and hearing the military jets and the helicopter.

New Years eve UFO

I'm from Jacksonville, Fl and I saw the same thing at 12:10. Only there were 12 of them. A few min latter a lone one came by. I didn't get any photos and have been searching the net for videos. There are several and they are the same thing we saw. There were 6 of us and they came from South East and were heading NW. Strangest thing I ever saw and they made no noise at all. They were all in a line and some were next to each other. It wasn't planes and at first I thought they were missiles. Did you only see three and how far are you from me? it was exactly 12:10 so it took 5 min to get from you to me.
