This is what Hermes had claimed... the ‘whole’ cosmos can be interpreted in Lower Egypt! It dawned on Wayne that all the constellations were at play in a 360° circuit of the entire night sky. It was an eternal ring of linking constellations and seemed to explain this majestic structure’s stare frozen in time! He already knew as an amateur astronomer the validity of the belt stars of Orion as a cosmic signpost, which ‘show the way’ to the Pleiades. What Wayne would discover next was that on the ground it would be the cluster of derelict pyramids at Abusir that would match this star cluster conclusively. What was equally exciting was that the nearby enigmatic gold capped Sun Temple obelisk would also have its counterpart in the sky.

It turned out that the obelisk was also the largest obelisk ever built in the ancient world… and it was at the epicentre of the star map.

Once he had reasoned this discovery, he realised what seemed to be two independent scale interpretations on either side of the very ancient Abusir pyramid cluster. No wonder he had not been able to crack the code previously! Both the Abusir pyramid cluster and the three pyramids at Giza appeared to be depicted larger than life intentionally to emphasize their importance.

Other correlation possibilities now become glaringly clear to him. The Andromeda constellation for example seemed identical to the pyramids at Saqqara. Here is the resulting comparison between the two. Compare star sizes and layout pattern:

It became very clear to Wayne what the direction alignment of Orion’s belt was guiding the observer towards. Keeping in mind the significance of this ‘cosmic signpost’ to the ancients, and since then, even to today’s astronomers, he was convinced that what this direction pointer was showing humankind was not the way to Sirius. But to a very distinct part in the night sky in the exact opposite direction! Yes indeed, Orion also naturally aligns in the opposite direction with the stars of Taurus. Wayne points out in his book with clear reasoning that it is not really the mythological ‘belt’ of the celestial deity that is pointing the way… but an important part of his masculine anatomy, and perhaps the very reason for a well known fertility cult that is rife in many ancient civilisations.

For a long time Wayne has been studying another ancient cult, that of ‘bull worship’. A practice also prevalent in most ancient civilisations, and he was becoming increasingly sure that this cult was linked to the constellation Taurus. After all, the ancients frequently referred to the celestial bull of the sky. Surely there had to be a stellar motivation behind this strange belief. Was it also a coincidence that in Greek mythology, Orion as a hunter points his arrow at the celestial bull of Taurus? Is this not an extra clue in itself? Perhaps the whole teaching mechanism of Orion aiming at this constellation has more to do with showing the way to something important, than ‘killing’ the celestial bull?

Wayne Herschel instinctively knew that the Sphinx now had to be evaluated in the context of all the pyramids of Lower Egypt. No pyramids could possibly be left out of the final model. If the pyramids were indeed representative of stars, such a star map had to include and revere the legendary  ‘imperishable stars’ that the ancients wrote about as the most important star cluster above any other. Because there is a deluge of references to a constellation the ancient Egyptians allude to as a bull’s thigh (apparent in countless hieroglyphs and texts), historians interpret this mysterious constellation to be the imperishable stars the ancient Egyptians refer to. They have always believed it to be the Big Dipper (a theory previously supported by Robert Bauval on his website, before he completely removed all his latest research material).

There is a far more plausible solution to this sacred constellation. For him the M45 star cluster, more commonly known as the Pleiades, fits the solution conclusively. It was this realisation that led him to make sense of everything. And, once again the outcome was in defiance of written history.

To be sure that Wayne was on track, he did a practical experiment. He overlaid a transparency of the stars onto a map of the pyramids. The pyramids of Giza matching Orion’s belt that Bauval had discovered was definitely there in all its glory. But that was not all. A whole new scale interpretation seemed to be at play for all the other correlations, and yes there were star correlations for all the pyramids. All the stars along one side of the entire length of the Milky Way had pyramids that replicated them alongside the River Nile. (How exactly this ingenious split scale works, and for what reason the ancients would have introduced it, is discussed at length in ‘The Hidden Records’).

Wayne Herschel knew at that moment that this clever mathematically engineered layout scheme was of the utmost importance to discovering what the ancients were about. It was as if it was crying out to the observer that a highly advanced culture had designed it and that these people knew that one area in the cosmos was sacred above all others, by virtue of one very unique monument in the middle of the pyramid field. What is more, this exceptional monument because of it having been found near a cluster of pyramids, begged him to consider whether this could be the very reason for the star map.

(It is very important to mention here that due to the limited bedrock in the Abusir area, the precise positioning of the Sun Temple appears to be merely a ‘general’ position interpretation in relation to the star it represents. Wayne deduces the exact positioning from other supporting evidence that runs parallel to Egypt, which he reveals in his book, ‘The Hidden Records’).

Wayne had found the proverbial ‘x’ that marks the spot, exactly where one would expect to, at the epicentre of the pyramid field! He knew instinctively that it was not by chance that the largest manmade obelisk ever constructed in the ancient world (and that was once adorned with a gold capstone) was the ultimate reason for such an elaborate labour intensive pyramid layout plan. The ancients called this monument their “ Sun Temple”. In an exceptional breakthrough, Wayne was to find out that it was the only monument on the pyramid star map that correlated with a ‘Sun-like’ star, i.e. just like our own Sun, and it was nearby. Now what had to be asked was the million dollar question: Was this star a star system with planets that were conducive to life?

Its unusual name, which immediately struck a cord with him, forced him to challenge another misguided belief about so-called ‘Sun’ worship prevalent in written history. He had a strong feeling that what the ancients were referring to here was not our Sun at all, but merely a star of ‘G’ classification, like our Sun. On further researching his suspicions, he was to discover that the Sun-like star that correlates here is listed as one of a small collection of Sun-like stars within 20 light years distance to our solar system!  Most star atlas programs and the Hubble catalogue insist it is 16 light years away but some astronomers have challenged this data. Even if it turns out that the star in question is not one of our next door neighbours, undeniably it is still identical to our Sun and reasonably close to our solar system.

For all the astronomers out there rushing to their star atlases, it is worth noting that the Sun-like star was only in this exact position at an ancient epoch. This is due to its apparent movement over time in comparison to all the other nearby stars. The fact that it has moved, and the number of centuries this movement represents, inadvertently allows Wayne Herschel to propose a new dating method for the genesis of the pyramid builders, which he explores in detail in ‘The Hidden Records’. Wayne has been in touch with Robert Bauval, asking if he agrees with his new findings. Bauval hinted that he agrees with the new Pleiades/Abusir discovery. This could lead to an interesting set of circumstances.

Here is a sample of the first half of the pyramid star map (with its new layout scale) that is causing extreme discomfort to academics in  South Africa. All of them refused to comment during the making of a follow up television program of these findings, which was first aired in 2003.

The Sun Temple of Abusir, now derelict and in ruins, as mentioned was undoubtedly once the largest obelisk ever built in the ancient world. Not only does it hold the title as the only proven monument to have a gold adorned capstone, but the size of the capstone was far larger than any other. The ancients called it their magnificent ‘ Sun Temple’. More importantly, as Wayne Herschel was to discover, its position on a pyramid star map is the only correlation with a nearby ‘Sun-like’ star. What is more, there is overwhelming evidence supporting this claim. All the other pyramids (around fifty or so), correlate with stars that are nothing like our Sun.

What could possibly be so important about the unique star in question here?

One could be forgiven for mistakenly thinking (as historians have done previously) that it is our Sun that is being represented by this wonderful ‘temple’, because the ecliptic (the path of the Sun) is ‘reasonably’ close to this particular area where it also crosses the Milky Way. It would be understandable for someone with no background in astronomy to have jumped to this conclusion. However, Wayne contends that one would need to look at the other pyramid civilisations to realise that it is not our Sun that is in contention in this instance. Our Sun passes through the horns of Taurus here, which could be also be perceived to be very similar to many Egyptian interpretations of the celestial bull carrying the sacred ‘disc’! He will present all the evidence why our Sun cannot possibly be the grand solution here, or the reason for building any other ancient site.

For now though, let it be said that given that the ancients refer to this temple as their ‘Sun’ Temple, by virtue of it being a “solar” temple, this speaks volumes. For Wayne it is as if the ancients were trying to tell us that this was a temple representative of a solar system like our own, hence a star of ‘G’ classification… a star system that appears to be associated with their ultimate ‘gods’.

If this grand solution was true for the Egyptian pyramids, then it begged for one very important question. Would the author find the identical sacred constellation and nearby Sun-like star in other ancient civilisations? What if there was further evidence of the same thing, and if so, would the new findings be conclusive enough to challenge written history?

It would be very premature right now, to suggest in this short article how the story turns out. There is more to follow and it is going to present a whole new angle to our bizarre past. Wayne Herschel has very good reason to claim that virtually all the ancient pyramid civilisations clearly appeared to be obsessed with telling the same story.

‘The Hidden Records’ outlines extensively why the author is a proponent of the very probable hypothesis that the ‘gods’ of the ancients were of flesh and blood. With this reasoning, he proposes that the pyramid builders of all ancient cultures are descendant of these so called ‘gods’. These beings all appeared human-like, masked with air breathing devices, and in many historical accounts, at times also dwelled on the land. People who were so advanced that they built in ways modern engineers only dream about. Sun worship was also prevalent across the entire Northern Hemisphere, in association with these ‘gods’. To date, nobody has come up with a feasible explanation that reasons why they think it is our Sun that was so important to all ancient civilisations.

What could possibly be so extraordinary about our Sun - one of the most commonplace elements of human daily existence - to become the ultimate object of reverence? Even today, people born into simplistic lives, with no education, have never ever felt a natural affinity whatsoever towards ‘worshiping’ the Sun.

Is this the ultimate pyramid star map? What if one could prove that other ancient civilisations had this exact same decipherable pattern encrypted in its pyramid layouts? ‘The Hidden Records’ tells all.

Aside from mapping out a very specific area in the night sky, could it be that the ancients encrypted a message that could be decoded, in their star map. Wayne Herschel believes this was exactly the case. The answer lies at Giza, where he has deciphered a very simple human geometric codex. The codex interprets the proportions of the human form when it mimics a five pointed star! It would be unfair to jump to conclusions this early in this article, but there is more to follow and it is going to allow us to see our bizarre past in a whole new light.

‘The Hidden Records’ proposes a wealth of challenging new material, insisting that this conclusion is more than just theory. It is measurable! Is this perhaps the ultimate reason behind the pyramids one might ask, or are star maps merely part of an even bigger mystery? Wayne Herschel believes there is far more to decode here. After all, one cannot set aside the possibility that there is also something immensely important about the design of the inner chamber of the pyramid structure.

With so much corroborating evidence at hand for this new star map hypothesis, Wayne was further inspired to search for a more complete Orion interpretation with all its stars. After all, it is highly unlikely that the prime stellar counterparts of Orion would be left out if the star map theory is real. He got hold of one of the oldest known maps of Giza, and beyond his wildest expectations, it had the solution. This particular map was used by well known explorer Howard Wyse and it shows exactly how much of Giza was pillaged to build Cairo. Here is the map with anomalies listed A,B,C,D, one of which has its own forgotten causeway! Two more ruins are shown here since publishing the book and will be included in a future revised edition in 2006.

Wayne believes beyond doubt now, more than ever that the pyramids in Egypt are in ruins for one reason and one reason only... they were all ‘butchered’ by the  indigenous people over the millennia to build other temples and then Cairo itself . On closer examination of the photo, it became evident to Wayne that there were once two pyramid ruins on the plateau, as well as another two ruins partly covered by the desert sand very close to the Sphinx. Note how perfectly the alignments cross at a single precise point and take his word for it, the directional alignments to the four outer stars of Orion match these new alignments in spectacular fashion. Also for the two thirds scale adjustment incorporated into this interpretation! It is a scale interpretation that not only highlights the importance of the ‘oversized’ cosmic signpost, but had to be interpreted in this way by the builders for the obvious reason that the pyramids would not overlap too far into the River Nile and could optimise very limiting solid bedrock for their foundations). Note that this oversized interpretation of the belt stars is now matched with an oversized pyramid interpretation of Abusir representing the Pleiades. Is this a way of beckoning the viewer to recognise the importance of the connection between these two star groups as part of a decipherable message, which is encrypted into the pyramid star map?

If you study the pyramid field, you will notice a whole array of correlations with stars that are the brightest in the night sky. For example, the two largest pyramids far south of Saqqara, majestically replicate two of the brightest stars of the Southern Hemisphere. The Red Pyramid correlates with the star Achenar and the famous Bent Pyramid matches perfectly with the bright star Canopus, which is a very unique star that has an unexplainable variable brightness. Could it be that the two altering angled sides in the Bent Pyramid are a clever interpretation of this unique variable brightness? The book depicts the all important close up detail.

A king (going back more than 4000 years) referred to in author WR Fix’s book,‘Star Maps’,  corroborates exactly Wayne’s theory that the Pleiades star cluster is the legendary ‘Leg of the Bull’ constellation that was revered by the Egyptians as the imperishable stars.

Much like Orion, the ‘leg constellation’ also appears to have been important as another ‘secondary’ cosmic sign post. The leg points exactly in the direction to the star that Wayne has found correlates with a nearby Sun-like ‘G’ class star!  And if all this still sounds like conjecture, in his book he takes the reader to a hidden tomb in Egypt that has been locked from public viewing, which fully supports his pyramid star map hypothesis and much, much more.

The findings Wayne Herschel has shared with you in this article were the beginning of his amazing journey. In his research around the world it seems all the ancient pyramid civilisations obsessed in the Pleiades star cluster in their layout plans of their pyramids. Stonehenge fits this template with even more logic and reasoning, but the most shocking and most accurate correlation of all is found in a place... not of this world!
