Mrs. T and Her Haunting - PART II
Each question or statement was followed with more flickering. And then, the woman spoke to me again. "You speak a lot," she said. "Well," Alex replied, " yes I do." At that moment, Alex's impatient Arian persona walked directly up to the lamp and shut it off mid flicker! I tried, verbally, to stop her (I was not about to step in front of her for fear she would run me over). With the same guttural tone Bill Murray gave to Dan Akyroyd in Ghostbusters because his thoughts mani-fested the oversized Stay Puff Marshmallow Man, I uttered to my co-hunter, "Ahhh, Alex? I am not sure that was the right thing to do." Next thing I knew, the French woman was communicating with me again.
I turned to the homeowner and said two words, "Pickled beats?" She looked at me puzzled. I spoke again, "Do you guys often eat pickled beats?" She said, "No, but we made them yesterday." "You made them yesterday?" I asked, surprised. "Yes, why?" she retorted. "Because she said she can only leave if you cook pickled beats. She said she will use the energy in the aroma of the recipe to travel away from your home, but that this is the only way her family can achieve our wishes." The homeowner scrambled to the kitchen to look for leftovers to heat up. As she did so, the woman abruptly began to speak again, but not to me; rather, she just spoke aloud as I listened. "I haven't seen sunlight like that in years. Honey, kids, look at the light…" And just like that, the entire family crossed to the light. They were no longer ghosts, but became spirits of the Other Side. It was simply unbelievable; a story I would not have believed if I did not experience it myself.
Alex's Arian persona told them they were no longer living and needed to move on. They needed a push - and they certainly received one; what an experience!"
My father was right way back in the late fifties into what began his pioneering days of being the original Ghost Hunter. One must be scientific and sensitive enough to explore a haunting and a place with paranormal activity; and the other person must be a validated transmedium that can interpret what happened and what the lost souls are in need of. They are also responsible for aiding the ghosts to cross over as leaving the situation alone would not benefit anyone. You must at least try.
Many often mix in demons to this equation, and yes, many evils do exist and perhaps this is when you need a back up and calls in your local priest and a ton of holy water! But, in all seriousness folks, people, places and things can be haunted or harbor negative forces that need a strong team to confront and hopefully relieve the situation bringing back peace.
