Two Blocks from Slab TownBall on the Roof Part Oneby Joey Boon

You see, 3rd base was on the side of the house where there wasn’t anybody to catch the ball in case in went foul. Sometimes the ball would hit the peak of the house (right directly over the bathroom) and it’d land in a spot that Kyle and I referred to as the "no catch zone". When this would happen (and seldom it did), we just played the point over.
Now, you might be thinking to yourself…just who in the heck were we playin’ against. Well, it wasn’t really an actual person. Kyle came up with it. When we first started playin’ the game, Kyle made all the rules.
He said," Joey, I realize that’s there’s nobody playin’ against us. So, we’re goin’ to call him "the cat". So, whenever we don’t catch the ball and score a point, the "cat" gets it. We’ll go to ten points, and whoever gets there first, wins the whole shebang!" I thought it was a good idea.
