During a radio show when I was interviewed about an article that I wrote about this case, the interviewer told of an experience that happened to him up in the Rocky Mountains. He was riding in the wilderness with an older Native American friend who was a shaman. From the smell that preceded the sighting, the shaman knew that they were in Bigfoot territory. As they realized their predicament, they came face to face with a large Bigfoot and the interviewer looked straight into its eyes. His Indian guide told him to turn his horse immediately and leave the area as rapidly as possible. "The Sasquatch is the guardian of this place," he said. This was the first time that he had told anyone of this incident.
The entity at Highgate is not the only red-eyed creature to be seen in the British Isles, there have been numerous sightings in modern times and historically in legends of red-eyed giants, dwarves, and other creatures. The legendary Black Shuck, the large wild paranormal dog of Britain, has red eyes. One of these inspired Sir Arthur Conan- Doyle to write "The Hound of the Baskervilles". More than one researcher has compared the Highgate entity to the Mothman with his glowing red eyes who was seen in West Virginia in 1967.
The power of paranormal beings cannot be courted with offerings and ornate pentagrams. This is not an appearance by El Diablo or a former human ghost, but is the presence of a paranormal guardian in a sacred area who is more closely related to UFO entities than to vampires.
