It took its time to glide by and it headed to the west. As it joined with planes on the approach to Tucson International Airport, I laughed out loud because it was mimicking an aircraft in the landing pattern even though it was traveling so slowly.
Since that experience, I always observe the Air Force jets very carefully. They sometimes have after-burners that glow at night and they zoom by very quickly and loudly.
The night that I saw the array of lights, I was outside for a long time watching it. It took a very long time to cross the sky from the east to the western side of Tucson. It was very similar to the diffuse array of lights that buzzed my taxi on the night of Nov. 11, 2007.
There were many other UFO sightings in Arizona during that week.
