As I have written about earlier (The Upcoming Great Deception, UFO Digest,
December 15, 2006), those people left behind in the rapture or the catching
away of the church to be with Jesus in the clouds (1 Corinthians 15:52, 1
Thessalonians 4:16-17) will be deceived to believe than that they were
abducted by UFOs.
According to many current UFO Digest articles, these extraterrestrial entities
will be coming bringing peace and may even all themselves jesus or yahweh or
the elohim. Once again the Bible warns us.
"While they are saying peace and safety, then destruction will come upon them
suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child and they shall not
escape.saying peace, peace and there is no peace" (1 Thessalonians 5:3,
Jeremiah 6:14).
Many of these same articles speak of a "New Age" beginning in 2012 when the
Mayan
calendar ends. There will be special "pow wows" and commemorations as the dawn
of
this new age approaches. There is talk of "more ethical extraterrestrials
that will be
"officially declared to the world at the United Nations in 2013" because they
"do not
pose a military threat to the world". There is talk of this false "christ" on
the planet Nibiru along with the extraterrestrial entity called "yahweh" and
the heavenly "elohim". These extraterrestrials, i.e. fallen angels, are said
to be "far more technologically advanced than we are." Some say that they even
have had a "permanent presence among us throughout the history of mankind." It
is said by some that "we were created in their image". It is said that "they
have been patiently assisting us in our development all these millennium".
According to them, there is no Hades or Heaven and we are made to believe that
Jesus and Muhammad are just helpful prophets all sent by the same creator.
Why do people believe such lies but reject the truth? Why are people so
concerned about the end of the Mayan calendar but could care less about the
end times discussed in the Bible? It is because, as I said before, they do not
want to give up their sins. They do not want to give up control for their
lives to a righteous God.
None of us wants to change our behavior especially if it feels good. None of
us wants to admit that we have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and
need to repent and change. We would rather believe that some ET will come and
bring us peace and happiness and we will not need to change. We would rather
have our savior come from a distant planet than from the right hand of a
loving yet righteous God in heaven. We would rather think of Jesus as a baby
in the manger or as a sacrificial lamb dying for us on the cross than as the
Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5) who will return in His Second Coming to judge
the nations and all the unbelievers.
We might not be so quick to dismiss His power and judgment if we knew the
following.
