For anyone unaware of the work of Budd Hopkins and his research into the alien abduction phenomena...along with his books,Missing Time {New York, Marck-Putnam, 1981}, Intruders {New York, Ballentine Books, 1987}, Witnessed; The True Story of the Brooklyn Bridge UFO Abductions {New York, Simon & Schuster Inc. 1996}, you are definitely missing a vital piece of the UFO mystery puzzle.
Budd Hopkins exhaustive research into this area has been unwavering since his own UFO sighting in 1964. Since that time he has been charged with aiding his subjects in confabulation, and being out of his element when using hypnosis.
Despite such claims he has persistently carried on this important work in order to bring his subjects comfort and healing and to help them deal with these unique experiences.
During the process he has uncovered many fascinating and inexplicable aspects related to the alien abduction phenomenon, which he has chronicled throughout his previous three books.
In Sight Unseen: Science, UFO Invisibility, and Transgenic Beings {New York, Simon & Schuster Inc., 2003}, Budd teams up with wife Carol Rainey and presents us with a book that focuses not only on the abductions itself, but demystifies the aliens advanced technology by showing how present day discoveries in science, physics, and medicine are now making it possible for us to understand it. What once seemed "magical" to us...invisibility, teleportation, levitation, mind control, and hybridization, are now being seen as quite possible within a technological construct. As the authors note; "these achievements and realizations alone should radically alter the attitude of mainstream science to the UFO phenomenon".
