The author seems engaged in deep thought that benefits all by offering concise facts from Astronauts and Scientists. Believe in UFO’s or not we should challenge the lack of transparency and accountability of our government concealment of facts. I firmly believe in extraterrestrial life beyond our solar system with the possibility of life close by. Several people I know have had encounters either seeing or abduction phenomenon . Granted the cover up is so large the truth is veiled in secrecy to the highest levels of military and government. Good article, well written , controversial but important to all.

There's nothing new noted in this article. We've known for many, many years that "experts" and scientists world wide witness the same things the rank and file do on a somewhat regular basis. Does the mere observation of vehicles and/or ET's prove there presence in our Solar System, maybe. Don't we have to actually see a base and have an introduction from and ET prior to anyone really "verifying" their presence in our Solar System. Given that hasn't happened it's intriguing evidence of a presence, however it only re-enforces the need for further research to prove out their being here. With respect to government knowledge, perhaps many governments know of things that may/might need to be kept under wraps due to our supposed propensity to panic or freak out. It's understanable from the standpoint of CONTROL which is something we give up to varying degrees to our respective governments. If the government admitted that it couldn't defend itself how would we feel? That's why there's some potential for things being kept under wraps and allowing us to believe as we will. Again, the mere appearance of crafts that we deem as ET are scant evidence of an actual verifiable presence. FYI I have seen UFO's several times over the Sierra Nevada while on hiking trips w/groups and in LA my home. Do I believe they're ET's...yes as I believe it's selfish of humanity to think itself alone in such a large universe.

I have read your review with interest,I do believe that there are other life forms in the vast universe out there. I have myself seen strange lights, some moving very slowly, some moving at great speed. But not once have I been able to film or visualize what they are.
If these beings have been traveling to our planet and solar system for thousands of years why have they never taken over the planet earth. Or have they already done so.
All of the evidence, and film footage of UFO's are all grainy to say the least, and no true evidence of alien craft or beings from other galaxies is forthcoming.

Until this happens you are always going to get your debunkers and none believers who will ridicule what people will say

For those of you calling DB a debunker: listen to one episode of his show. As a suggestion I would say maybe check out the ep. where he talks about the giant cigar-shaped UFO he saw with his family.

Or maybe check out the ep. where he describes a metal disk shaped craft that hoverer over his family home.

Debunker? No. But he does call crap as he sees it. And this article is complete and utter crap.

This story was released by the Ministry of Defense in England MArch 22, 2009 by a freedom of information request. This is not a isolated incident with reports like this going back hundreds of years.

A dog walker claimed she met a man from another planet who said aliens were responsible for crop circles, military UFO files have revealed.

The anonymous woman telephoned RAF Wattisham in Suffolk in a state of distress to describe an encounter she had the previous night. A covering letter in the files notes that it is "one of our more unusual UFO reports".

The woman told the operator at the base that the incident happened as she was walking her dog on a sports field close to her home near Norwich at about 10.30pm on November 20 1989.

The report notes: "He asked her if she was aware of stories about large circular flattened areas appearing in fields of wheat, and then went on to explain that he was from another planet similar to Earth, and that the circles had been caused by others like him who had travelled to Earth."

The man said the purpose of their visits was friendly but they were told not to have contact with humans for fear that they would be considered a threat.

The woman said she was "completely terrified" and after about 10 minutes the man left.

As she ran home she heard a "loud buzzing noise" behind her and turned to see a large glowing orange-white spherical object rising vertically from behind trees.

The RAF operator who took the statement from the woman said the conversation lasted about an hour and described it as a "genuine call".

I've been reading and thining about UFOs for 45 years. I think I may have seen one in that time. And recently, 2003. So I have as much reason to be skeptical as the next person. However, I retain an open mind on the subject.

One of the great fears of the world peoples and governments is panic and outbreak of chaos. We see segments of this activity in the less developed world frequently. The famous Orson Welles incident of 1938 is the ideal case study. Assuming alien presence, one has to think that they would be aware of this factor. The fact that they are here would indicate a quite advanced state. So subjectively, they would have every reason to use extreme concealment. Although as time goes on this becomes less necessary. People can presume that even extreme craft are merely experimental governmental or corporate vehicles, i.e, the famous southern Illinois UFO of 2000. I think that was an experimental governmental vehicle of the stealth variety. I think that the trianglular vehicles are also.

The famous Phoenix Lights are enigmatic. There was a triangular craft sighted. However witnesses described it a extremely large, in the 3-5000 ft. range. That would probably be out of the range of present human capability to manufacture and pilot.

I view the videos on You Tube with great interest. Many are intriguing. And I'm especially fascinated with the evidence presented as to perennial extraterrestrial presence. There are indications of this on the Moon, Mars and the Saturn moon Iapetus. Richard Hoagland, Glenn Steckling and Steven Greer, amongst others present some compelling evidence of EBE activity.

Personally I have several photos of the lunar surface in my computer, and look at them regularly under magnification. There are many intriguing features on the Moon that appear to be artificial. Whether manmade or otherwise is questionable.

Personally, I enjoyed the article. Wasn't unsettled at all.

When I read Ron's article shock came over me as the article below said just what Ron had said about Alein's. This is incredible and validates eveything that was said in the article........

This Nussbeck piece is a joke, the author has zero credibility or credentials, and you're giving him a platform, some sense of legitimacy where he deserves absolutely none. Without you, it's highly unlikely that Nussbeck could publish his tripe anywhere besides a personal blog (I'm guessing that even Birnes would turn him down for the pages of UFO Magazine, it's amazing that they'll run _your_ stuff).

So don't mind if some of us decide that it's entirely reasonable to "shot" the messenger. You did the crime, now you do the time. Get over it.

I am from India, here we know the truth of UFO's and Alien's, our government does not hide from the truth. The comments made by some show how Western and weak minded by debunking with no proof. For years we have known the truth, try seeking some for yourself.

It's so easy for a Debunker to sit on the sidelines and hurl stones but 99% have no research background or Scientific education. One only has to consult real NASA Scientist's comments to find their IQ is that of a child. Great job Ron!!! We love your work!!!!

Ok maybe there is some form of life out there, maybe even intelligent. There doesn't have to be two species for them to have war with each other, look at our world. 1- the advanced propulsion energy systems obviously
required for them to come here, could possibly be weaponized by mankind .
2- a global overt appearance (ships appearing and hovering for days over major cities and the U.N.)would totally end mankind's ignorance of this greatest reality . non-interference protocols may become void , possibly resulting in alien versus alien open battles directly on our planet !
3- vested human and/or factional alien interests probably depend on our ignorance .there may be a malevolent plan at gradually inducing us into accepting a slave-state status , with little effort on their part . communism could be their perfect tool .
4- even authorities with good ethics in-the-know cannot possibly know or comprehend the nature or motives of each of these vastly advanced species.-with fear of this unknown , how could they justify sharing this limited knowledge with a potentially unstable public ?

While we continue to see shoddy thinking like this "article" puts forward, it gets more and more difficult to engage in a serious, sober discussion of the UFO phenomenon. There is indeed something unusual going on, but the childish nonsense offered as analysis (such as this weak piece by Nussbeck, who offers scant evidence and clearly lacks any professional background in areas such as image analysis), seriously dilutes the sober type of work being conducted by thoughtful, actual researchers such as Ted Phillips, James Fox and Jerome Clark.

I feel that UFO Digest does the field a disservice by offering a platform for hyped-up silliness, while ignoring or marginalizing serious, sober researchers and their important work. This type of drivel will make it almost impossible to move any understanding of this serious topic forward in any meaningful way. Sad, but true.
