If none of those places work out for you, you’re stuck. You could try the local UFO investigator; many states have ones aside from the local MUFON people.
Or you could start your own blog.
So what’s the point in our government taking such a lackadaisical attitude towards UFOs, even giant black floating triangles over populated cities?
My theory is this: on the surface, the official agencies act like they don’t care. They may even appear sympathetic but are as baffled as the rest of us. They play dumb, they don’t know, they haven’t been told, they’re confused too. They might offer help, in a disingenuous way: “Say, did you try the airport, or the Air Force base out by..., or the ...?” they might suggest. Some may act gruff, abrupt, and tell you they don’t a thing, and hang up. And some, like local police departments, simply aren’t equipped to deal with things like this. It’s not their job. Really, what can they do, other than make a record of the sighting? (Which is helpful, as far as documentation goes.) So on the surface, we have an incompetent government who can’t deal with UFOs. What kind of message does that send to the American public, as well as the rest of the world? Weird craft in the sky hovering above our cities, and the U.S. government doesn’t care? Or know what’s going on? Doesn’t even have the presence of mind to pretend to care, or that they know what’s going on? What happened to old fashioned bluffing and lying? They still do it in other areas; just look at the current administration. Why the head in the sand attitude when it comes to UFOs? Instead of acting like big time officials, they pass the witness off to other agencies, where they get passed off to MUFON, a local UFO pundit, or NUFORC, where the sighting will virtually disappear.
Underneath that surface is another story. Who knows what they really know, and what they’re really doing? No doubt much of what we see up there and call ‘UFOs’ are our own machines. Distraction and disinformation, and misinformation go a long ways to protect ultra classified technology.
But is that, as Peggy Lee asked so woefully, all there is?
I doubt it.
