I would make the worst president of the United States in history. I
have no patience with cowards and with those who will not stand up
for the underdog. I remember one time when I was at a restaurant with
some pinball machines against the wall. My friend's wife was playing a
machine all by herself when a stranger came up from behind her and put
his arms around her and began to whisper into her ear and make a
nuisance of himself. I looked to my friend and he had the look of
terror on his face. I am sure he just wanted it all to go away. I
think that is the Jane Fonda solution. I leaned over to him and
asked, Are you going to take care of this or do I have to? He was
quick to say, You do it. I walked over and put my arms around the
man like he had around the wife of my friend. I whispered in his ear,
like he was whispering in hers. I said, We can do this the easy way,
or we can do this the hard way. I peacefully walked him to the door
and shut it behind him. I was prepared to do much more. However, few
people looking into my eyes think I am kidding. The same is true for
a strong America. Nancy Polosi would never understand that. She would
have accused me for starting a fight. Maybe she would be right.
However, there is a time for peace and a time when peace just isn.t
working. It just wasn't working in Iraq, regardless whether there
were WMD's. It isn't working in Afghanistan or in Iran. It isn.t
working in Korea. It did work in China, at least so far. The Chinese
figured out it was a lot easier to make money from your enemies than
to fight them. The idiot in Korea Kim Jong Il hasn't learned that he
would have a million times more money if he would join the world
economy instead of trying to be a bully. After having molested
hundreds of forced concubines and fomented bloodshed for two
generations I can only imagine that he is ashamed of himself. Maybe
Jane Fonda could talk him out of his evil ways. I am sure she would
blame us for what he has done. I am sure she would get on the first
plane, if invited, and fly to North Korea just to embarrass Bush. All
I can do is to shake my head in disbelief.
I would not only make a terrible president, I would make a terrible
member of the clergy. I would never let any group of men tell me that
I don't need to know what is out there to understand. I would always
trust my own values over anyone else's. I would always want to know
what someone else believed and thought. I am a terrible joiner. I
wish I could join and let someone else take all the responsibility in
the world. However, I just can't as long as they don't. I would be a
much better guardian of hell. I wouldn't let any evil to escape. It
will not matter to me when I die if I sit on the right hand of God
like Peter wanted. I just want a ticket to the show. I would be
glad to be the last in line as long as I got through the door. I make
a good subject for prayer. I don't ask why. I just stand up and do
what has to be done. It is time for all of you to take the classes.
You most assuredly won't always agree with me. I am delighted that
you won't. I hope you fight inside and beg God for an answer to your
prayers. The classes will force you to do just that. To love me or
hate me is the same as long as you act on your beliefs. In the end
you will find that God is real and the classes this month will shake
you to the core on that very level. This time we are going to do more
than assert that God exists. I don.t even care if you copy the CD's
for a friend, as long as you don't put them on a web site or sell
them for money. That would violate the copy rights necessary for me
to use to get publication support. Ultimately that will get them into
the hands of many more people. Make a copy for someone bedridden or
who is blind. Make that your gift to the world and you will please
me. Share them with your children and I will thank God for his
wisdom.
