I wonder, with our own technological progress in the field of robotics, if extraterrestrials also share the same fears about their creation. Take a look at Hollywood movies about robots and Artificial Intelligence and it's mostly about them becoming better than we are and then eventually wiping us out. Could it be possible E.T also shares the same fears about us?
The story of the Tower of Babel in the Old Testament could be a clue to this possibility;
"And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do." Genesis 11:19.
Notice the part I have made bold. There seems to be an element of fear in this statement, even of panic. The 'Gods' then go on to spread mankind across the planet, confusing our languages, essentially sending us back to the stone age after we had made impressive technological progress.
Getting back to our own time, there are many of us who read and study the subject of extraterrestrials and UFOs who believe our species was warned off from anymore space travel to the Moon. It's also possible this warning was not only limited to the Moon but may have extended to anywhere outside of low-Earth orbit. Those who created us have given us 'Controlled Access' to space. There are two possible reasons for this;
1.
2. |
They don't want us to discover what they are doing, or to discover any bases they may have out there. If we are part of some sort of scientific study, then I guess humans flying around space tinkering with their work might be somewhat of an annoyance. Also, if their intentions are malevolent, they might not want us to see their plans.
They are afraid of us, they want to severely limit our exploration of space. It could be that the best way for them to protect themselves is to keep us here on Earth. |
A lot of the evidence suggests it may be point number two and I have to agree. One quick look at our planet and an alien civilization would quickly see how barbaric and violent we are as a species. We kill, rape and torture members of our own species, even our own family. Imagine the horrors we would inflict on other intelligent species in the universe if we had the technology, particularly if we felt threatened by them. It was after the detonation of the first Atomic Bomb that they realised we needed to be contained, maybe even controlled. It was like the kids getting hold of daddy's shotgun, but it also demonstrated our great potential as a species and could be why we weren't just wiped out there and then.
People who have reported being abducted by aliens claim the beings seems cold, uncaring and unsympathetic to their poor human captive. Everything about the alien abduction phenomena seems steeped in fear, not us fearing them, but them fearing US. They paralyse their victims (presumably they fear our physical strength) and wipe their memories. There doesn't really seem to be any arrogance on the part of the extraterrestrials, either because they don't have such feelings or because they don't feel superior to us. There seems to be a lot of caution on their part, the kind we have when we're tagging a wild lion or tiger.
