Hearing this story and reading all the information out about sightings about these huge cats makes me wonder if they were always around us and we were not aware of it or have they recently become part of the populated landscape and we have not noticed until now? I find it odd that all of a sudden such large animals are now popping up in strange environments?

Lastly I will leave you with a phone call I received last week from my sister while traveling from the east coast to the west coast across the state of Florida. My sister and her husband were happily driving along on vacation on a cross state highway when they came upon a huge animal lying dead right on the side of the highway.

They were stunned to find a huge (the size of a full grown deer) black cat lying dead on the road. They stopped to look and claim they have never seen an animal exactly like that anywhere before. My sister said the frightening part of the experience was that just over the treetops you could see all the rooftops of a neighbor hood of houses. To think this large animal was freely roaming about was a bit unsettling to say the least.

I have no idea why we are hearing and seeing these reports. Maybe these animals were always there, maybe they are new, or maybe they are creatures planted in our populated areas for reasons we do not understand. To be perfectly honest I do not know what to think of these black cats showing up all over but will be paying attention to it from now on. As I always say- pay attention to your surroundings, you never know what lurks beyond the next bush!
