This book has 18 chapters that deal with the history of UFOs and those that have been contactees and also the critics. These beginnings of the contactees and the governments part in down playing the whole enigma.
From there he goes into his first sightings and investigations and what makes one a good investigator of this "out of world enigma."
Some of his first encounters with the UFOs were with family members and his fascinations with the whole out of worldly experiences. He helped set up the criteria of a great investigator and started out as an investigator with NICAP. He also goes into the other group's history as well. APRO, as well as some other fringe groups that had other agendas. But as a scientist and as a former USAF Security Service member he had some inside idea of what they did. He brought that to the table as a highly trained USAF insider.
Ray Fowler was a meticulous investigator. Nothing got past him. If it was not done right it was not done at all. Art Champoux has been an UFO investigator since 1964. He has worked with Ray Fowler, Walter Webb, John Keel, a lady that he can not name, and several different UFO groups. In the 1960s he was with APRO, CAPER, NIACP, then when APRO went out he was with NICAP and then APRO, Now he is with MUFON. The world of the paranormal has always fascinated him as even as a small boy he had some eerie happenings. His Great grandmother was a spirit medium so maybe he has inherited something. He is a hypnotist and has written for several publications and his leanings are much like John Keels. He beleives there is an ultra force, not from outer space, but much like John's and even Jaques Vallees' contention...we are but one dimension out of many that reign on this planet.
