Not just a phenomenon of the Jewish or Christian faiths, angels are
mentioned in most other faiths. In Eckankar, angels are one form the Holy
Spirit uses to communicate with us. They bring blessings and messages to
those who have earned them. Being neither members or adherents of any
religion, angels choose to help everyone no matter what race, status or
religion they are part of. Angels help who who needs and asks for it.
Not all angels have turned out good. Isaiah 14:12 to 15 tells of the fall of
Lucifer from Heaven. It has been said that a third of the angels fell with
him and became demons. How much demons attempt to influence human behaviour
remains to be seen or is used as a source of fear to scare people or keep
them in line.
One story regarding angels has made the rounds involves the Belgian
battlegrounds during World War One. Many have chalked this tale to a vivid
imagination or a writer or artist or from the stress of the battlefield. But
in view of the fact that battlefields are places of death, it could very
well be true.
Hebrews 13:2 tells us to not forget to entertain strangers for by doing so
some have unknowlingly entertained angels. They are part of everyone's life
journey and will continue to do so as they protect us against all forms of
fear.
