They abduct humans constantly. They can and do kill humans and animals. There are as many human mutilations as there are animal mutilations. Only a few of these are ever discovered. They let just enough be found to cause the minds of humans to become confused. Their authorities tell humans that there are no such things as Chits and it is not possible for the animal mutilations to occur as they do but it is happening. People do not know what to believe.

There are over a hundred thousand missing people each year. The homeless and runaways are perfect targets for the Chits. Makes one wonder about ships with no crews or the ancient cities minus any trace of what happened to the inhabitants.

One important fact is they are not that hard to kill. This is one their best kept secrets. If humans knew they could kill them the humans would root them out and destroy them. They are so easy to kill occasionally humans have accidently killed them and not even known it.

They are actually very vulnerable. A psychic attack from a psychic human is one thing they dread. In a way it is a war of minds.

The one constant throughout history has been that humans must not have any psychic abilities. Being psychic is the best weapon against the Chits. Their complete reliance on their psychic abilities is their vulnerability. They are well aware of this and do everything in their power to make sure their food source does not have or use any psychic abilities.

The inquisition and witch trials and eradication of old knowledge are examples of how they handle anyone with the potential to be a threat to them.

Even today most people who have psychic abilities are looked upon as evil and not all there mentally. The pervading thought is anyone who is psychic has to have something wrong with him or her. In reality being psychic is the normal way for humans to be.

How many psychics did the inquisition and witch-hunts kill? The people were so under the control of the Chits they allowed the slaughter of their own people. People murdered the only defense system they had against the Chits.

From personal experience we know they run from blades or metal darts. Our first response to an appearance of a Chit is to charge at it with a blade. They run. They also cannot abide a mixture of cider vinegar and salt, which they run from as fast as they can.

The Chits take it as a personal offense if someone stands up to them. They have the misguided idea they own humans and can do whatever they want to with them: on a technicality they sort of own humans. They have lowered the mentality of humans enough they are no longer considered sentient beings so it is of no consequence to the other realms if the Chits use humans as a food source. Humans have placed themselves in the same category as our domesticated animals we butcher for food.

Humans made the choice to follow the dictates of the Chits. Now humans have a serious problem to deal with. The Chits have taken over.

No one is going to come and rescue the human race from the evil they let in themselves. If humans actually want to be rid of the Chits and their control they are actually going to have to do it themselves.

One of the Chits favorite memes is the one about someone coming down to save mankind. Everyone falls for it. I call it The Batman Complex. Only batman or another superhero can fight the super villains. The poor citizens are convinced they are powerless to defend themselves. The chief of police frantically calls on the bat phone for batman to come and rescue them again and again.

Humans have been conditioned to think they are incapable of defending themselves. Humans have been conditioned to destroy the very things that can defend them and have done a very effective job of it.
