Forty-nine year old, Takashi Tahara, lives in Shimane Prefecture and is a civilian who has taken up the hobby of the photography. He went to photograph the fighter at the Hiroshima Prefecture Iwakuni base on January 17, 2008.
Once there he noticed a globe that appeared to be floating in the air. At 4:00PM Mr. Tahara took the folowing photo. He took a picture of the globe.
Next, he witnessed the globe aproach a helicopter as it was takings off. However, the globe suddenly disappeared before Mr. Tahara was aware of its absense.
He then continued taking photos until for another 3-minutes. The globe appears again during this time and approaches the helicopter.
Mr. Tahara identified the model of the helicopter as the MH-53E Sea Dragon.
