Conspiracy buffs will be in for a treat when Dennis Balthaser, one of the country's top UFO researchers, presents "Interception: Case Closed" June 19 at the Angel Fire Community Center, 71 Valley Road in Angel Fire, NM. The event begins at 2 pm, with $20 general admission and $10 admission for ASPE members. The event is sponsored by Alliance Studying Paranormal Experiences (ASPE).
Dennis Balthaser
"Interception: Case Closed" is Balthaser's first-hand, detailed account of being intercepted in June 1977 by alleged U.S. Air Force, Office of Special Investigation (OSI) agents in Oklahoma, while attempting to obtain physical evidence relating to the 1947 Roswell UFO crash. He will share all the phone calls and discussions he had with those agents, and their impact on him and his investigation, including the final outcome of his 12 years of research.
Balthaser (pronounced Ball-thay-sir) is highly regarded as a leading investigator and UFOlogist by his peers, and is also a popular conference speaker and editorial columnist. In 1996, Balthaser retired from a 33-year civil engineering career and settled in Roswell, NM where he served as a board member and official UFO Investigator for the International UFO Museum before becoming an independent researcher, journalist and lecturer. Balthaser is a certified UFO investigator with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and is a member of the advisory board for the Great Pyramid of Giza Research Association. His main areas of research include the 1947 Roswell Incident, Area 51, Underground Bases and the pyramids of Egypt.
"ASPE is always happy to have Dennis return to Angel Fire," said ASPE director Janet Sailor. "He presented an excellent program about Area 51 in 2009 and was one of the most popular speakers at last year's Paranormal Symposium. When you want to know the real story about what's happening in the world of UFO research, Dennis is definitely the 'go-to' guy!"
Since the fiftieth anniversary of the Roswell Incident, Balthaser has been interviewed for more than 350 television programs, radio programs and other media stories, including CNN, MTV, the SCI-FI Channel, The TODAY Show, Dateline, Nightline, NBC, ABC Nightly News, Jeff Rense's "Sightings on the Radio," Ted Loman's "Off the Record," Rob McConnell's "X-Zone Radio Show," Art Bell's "Coast to Coast AM," the Discovery Channel, the National Geographic Channel, "UFO Hunters" and the History Channel.
In addition, he writes editorials pertaining to his research for 31 web sites and UFO Magazine, and also works closely with well-known researchers Stanton Friedman, Frank Warren, Scott Ramsey and many others. His award-winning web site, www.truthseekeratroswell.com, has had more than a million visitors since 1998.
Proceeds from Balthaser's appearance will benefit the 2010 Paranormal Symposium and Film Festival, scheduled for September 9-12 at Angel Fire Resort. Visit www.aspefiles.org or call 575-377-2667 for additional information.
