Recently the attention of many people in Poland was drawn by crop circles that began appearing since the first days of July 2006. But it doesn't mean that anything else occurred. For a long time Poland - Slavonic country in the heart of Europe, torn between East and West, was a stage of various UFO events. 2006 also abound in UFO observations.

Dozen of crop circles appear this year in Poland - some less and some more clever and astounding, but there were also many spectacular UFO sightings. Of course some of them were released by unreliable sources or were clear hoaxes. Many of them need further investigation.

We would like to present some photos and sighting reports received by us in late July 2006.

TRIANGULAR CRAFT IN SZPROTAWA AREA

Reader of NPN web service, Mr. Dariusz W. from Szprotawa area in Lubuskie wojewodztwo [Western Poland], briefly but thoroughly described his sighting and sent a photo depicting a triangular craft captured near Szprotawa.

"July 18th 2006, between 11 pm. and midnight, an estate near Szprotawa. I noticed bright, lighting point in the sky, heading from south in northwestern direction. It was much bigger than a star, measuring about 3 - 4 mm at an extended arm length."

"During the flight it was swaying sideways and being almost in the zenith point, it changed the course and began dimming slowly. Its speed exceeded that of satellites [visible occasionally] 1.5 - 2 times."

The author excluded the following possibilities:

• a satellite - the triangle changed direction and was much bigger and brighter.
• an airplane - the airplane marking is quite different [red-green twinkling lights], speed was also unusual.

"I managed to took a snap and I was amazed when on the screen I saw three lights since [with naked eye] I could see only one."

He also added: "I've got also 2 additional photos with an oval-shaped object, I didn't see any birds at that time, but I'm not completely certain. [1]

Another new report pertaining triangular UFO craft sighting come from Poznan [capital city of Wielkopolskie wojewodztwo]. Two independent witnesses related the observation. Szymon from Poznan wrote: "At about 8 pm., watching the ads in the break during 'Contact' [movie] I was as well peering by the window. After a while I noticed something resembling an airplane. The craft was moving with high speed and maneuvered in a way unusual to flying planes. It didn't emit any sounds. When 'it' approached my house I noticed that it was in a shape of regular triangle. It was in vertical position and there were lights positioned on its edges [pulsating and changing colors from yellow to red]. After a while the NOL [Polish for UFO - PC], disappeared from my sight." On the next day [April 24th 2006] the witness' mother found out doing shopping that some woman also had observed the strange, triangular craft. "My mum hadn't told nothing to the woman about my sighting" - Szymon added. The woman asserted that the flying "triangle" was seen by her two times, at 7 and 8 pm. Szymon also saw the object in similar time. [2]

If we talk about triangular UFO sightings in Poland, the following case it is worth to mention another one case: On July 17th 2005 at about 11 pm, a group of 8 witnesses gathered in the center of Wroclaw [the capital city of Dolnoslaskie wojewodztwo] was observing a black triangle that approached with incredible speed and was followed by several smaller lights of the same color.

Mr. Jacek Toczek, renowned skywatcher and one of the witnesses, wrote: "It was unusual. I was on a meeting with my family and some friends and there were 8 of us. I was looking around and suddenly I looked up and I was stunned - three yellowish lights were hovering vertically over me, each of them was in size of a ping-pong ball. The lights created a triangle. The space between them was black, it was an object of triangular shape. When I noticed it, I began screaming and informing others. At the moment when other persons began observing the phenomenon, the object left with unbelievable, almost cosmic speed. After several seconds 8 or 9 balls of yellowish light joined it and along with the object they created a V - shape formation. The objects departed after several seconds." [3]

DISC - SHAPED CRAFT OVER MALTANSKIE LAKE

The presented photo was taken in Poznan, at the shore of Maltanskie Lake on July 23rd 2006. Mr. Lukasz Blasik along with his family on that day was on a stroll in Maltanskie Lake area between 4 and 6 p.m.

During the trip he took some photos. Examining them in his house, he noticed some strange object. It wasn't seen while the photo was taken.

Preliminary examination with Photoshop and Photo Zoom Professional revealed strange, disc shaped object. [4]

DISTORTED UFO OVER GRABNO

Very interesting photo was taken on May 29th 2004 by Mr. Bogdan Gesicki in Garbno. It shows a distorted object over a housing estate. It isn't known what the object was and if it was only a photo malfunction, some materializing or simply distorted object. [5]

But according to other sources, Mr. Grzegorz Brozek also managed to take a photo of a distorted craft over Libiaz in 2006 [6]. Now we are waiting for the photo and other information. These aren't the only Polish UFO sightings from Summer 2006 and we hope that others will follow them.
