To list the details of all this evidence would take over a thousand books by themselves. I have been studying Ufology seriously since 1994, read about seventy books, skimmed fifty more, read a hundred papers, watched scores of TV documentaries, attended eleven UFO conferences, talked with over one hundred people concerning this topic and personally investigated twenty UFO sightings. But I still have trouble deciding what to study next.

In an effort to help others, what I have tried to do is merely list the types of evidence that exist. Since there is so much evidence of this phenomenon, I have tried to categorize it into a more manageable way. There is nothing sacred about my categories and one could easily argue to collapse two or more categories into one or add or split others. The interested reader who wishes to go into the details will find many books, journals, magazines and websites on this subject and I’ve referenced some of the best ones that I’m aware of for you to start with. I freely admit before hand that I have missed many great sources of information in many categories and I apologize for my oversight and intend no insult.

The Categories

1. Public Eyewitness accounts: Millions of people have seen strange objects in the sky that did not behave like anything they have ever seen before. Hundreds of thousands of these people have given reports of their sightings to their government authorities. The two most common statements made by observers are “I never saw anything like it before” and “I would have never believed it, if I hadn’t seen it.” (For you budding psychologists and sociologists, those two statements are worthy of a dozen Ph.D. theses.)

Dr. J. Allen Hynek called their descriptions of what they saw the “Escalation of Explanation.” This is where people upon seeing a UFO will first try to explain it in terms of objects they already understand, but then have to change their description to something different until they are finally perplexed as to how to describe what they saw.

2. Historical and Artistic Records: There are thousands of historical or artistic records of phenomena that fit the description of current day UFOs and ETs. See the encyclopedic works of Jerome Clark, the four volume set “U.F.O.s and Extraterrestrials in History” by Yves Naud, or a graduate thesis of UFOs in History as shown thru art by the Italian woman, Stefania Genovese.

3. Aircraft Pilot Sightings: Over ten thousand aircraft pilots have seen UFOs during day and night. Ex-NASA scientist, Richard Haines, has recorded over 3,500 aircraft pilots’ sightings of UFOs. These pilots have seen UFOs up close, which means within a mile. Some of these pilots have slowly steered their planes or jets to get closer to the UFOs, which would only allow them to get so close. Other pilots have actually chased them, but the UFOs have always eluded them. When the UFOs approached the aircraft too closely, many of the planes instruments went haywire. In addition, some of the pilots have either lost their jobs or were desk-bound after reporting UFO sightings.

In 1958, according to John Lester of the Newark Star Ledger 450 pilots signed a petition protesting the US Air Force imposed censorship concerning the reporting of UFOs.

3b. Military Aircraft Activities: There have been hundreds of air force pilots that have tried to attack UFOs and some have fired machine gun blasts, canons, and air to air missiles at them. According to second hand statements by a handful of military people, some pilots were destroyed by trying to attack. However, most pilots had their weapons systems neutralized or their avionics shutdown. They also had their radar jammed and had the tables turned on them. Some pilots who were trying to chase UFOs subsequently realized that they were being chased by the UFO and ran for their lives. All fighter aircraft were pitifully outclassed by the crafts they were trying to chase down and most of the UFOs afterwards flew off at speeds far exceeding any aircraft of the day.

4. Radar and Visual Sightings: There have been thousands of radar and visual sightings of UFOs. These simultaneous viewings have been recorded since the 1940’s. The July 1952 sightings over Washington D.C. had up to three different radar stations tracking the same visually sighted UFO. 5. Radioactivity, Radar and Visual Sightings: There have been simultaneous visual, radar and radioactivity recordings of UFOs. The first USAF director of Project Bluebook publicly documented this. See Edward Ruppelt’s “The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects” Chapter 15.

6. Photographic and Video Evidence: Hundreds of thousands of photographs, films and videos have been taken of UFOs and yet very little of this ever gets put in newspapers or TV news programs. Many of the few photos that did make the newspapers were the rare hoaxes or the easily explained misperceptions of the public. Many of the early photographs and films were either stolen or confiscated by the military or intelligence personnel.

Since 1991, Jaime Maussan, a famous Mexican newsman, has had over 5,000 videos sent to him by people throughout Mexico . However, with increased video and computer internet capabilities, many people are now putting their video clips on Youtube. This includes recordings of newscasts throughout the world that were only shown locally, but now get a global, nongovernmental broadcast.

7. Transportation Vehicles Effected: Gasoline-powered cars have stalled when a UFO approached too closely. This has happened in hundreds of recorded instances. At the same time, nearby diesel engines were not affected. In addition, the car’s lights, windshield wipers, cigarette lighter and anything in the car that required electricity from the battery was made inoperable when the UFO was in the near vicinity of the vehicle.

Dr. Mark Rodeghier from the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) has analyzed 441 cases where the ignition of cars would not work. See the website www.cufos.org.

8. Communication Devices Effected: Thousands of TVs, radios, and cell phones have failed to work properly when a UFO was too close.

9. Scientific Measurements: Magnetic, electrostatic and electromagnetic measurements have been taken when UFOs were in the vicinity of the measuring equipment.

10. Landing Traces: UFOs have landed and left imprints on the ground. In addition, torn, bent and charred vegetation, soil and rocks have been analyzed and found to have many strange electromagnetic and biological characteristics that are not naturally found at the landing site. Vegetation will not grow and seeds will not germinate for extended periods of time. At some UFO landing sites, the soil has been dehydrated and will not absorb water.

11. Strange Animal Behavior: There are thousands of cases where animals have behaved strangely when a UFO is spotted nearby. Some horses and cattle will run around wildly. Some dogs and pets will hide. Some animals will not move in the direction of the UFO.

12. Animal Mutilations: Thousands of animals, many of them cattle, have been killed and mutilated by techniques that are far more advanced than our finest medical or biological researchers use. This information is routinely suppressed at the national news level. Adams.

Recently there have been a lot of mutilations in Brazil , Argentina and Chile.

13. Crop Circles: Thousands of crop circles have occurred over hundreds of years. Some of these circles are incredibly detailed. Yet, the only explanation that was acknowledged in the media was of two old beer-drinking men, one of whom is now dead, confessed to making “most” of them. I guess the ghost of the ex-crop hoaxer is the busiest ghost in history. Laboratory analysis has shown chemical changes and strange magnetic anomalies to the bent plants and surrounding soil in many crop circles that could not be caused if a prankster was bending the plant thru mechanical means. Genetic changes have also been observed in the seeds of plants that have been affected by crop circles.

14. Human Implants: Thousands of implants have been recovered. Of those analyzed, none appear to be of any known material on Earth that is either naturally occurring or man-made. Typically, laboratory analysis shows that the isotopes of the elements in the implant are not common or even known on the Earth’s surface.

15. Human Abductions: Thousands of people claim to have been abducted. The writings of Budd Hopkins, David Jacobs, John E. Mack, and James Harder have shown the experiences in detail of hundreds of people who have been abducted. I, myself, have talked to over a dozen abductees who have never received any press or monetary reward for coming out with this information. It’s easy to conclude that any metropolitan area of over 100,000 people will have dozens, if not hundreds, of people who have been abducted and, yet, have not come forth with this information. Also, it appears that a number of abductees have been medically helped by their abductors.

16. Human Impregnations: Thousands of women claim to have been impregnated and had their fetuses removed generally by the third month. These women and their doctors are perplexed by the changes in their once pregnant bodies.

17. Astronaut Sightings: Astronauts and cosmonauts have stated publicly that they have seen UFOs. Astronauts, scientists and technicians have stated that they have seen and photographed UFOs on and near the moon, and artificial structures on the Moon and Mars.

18. Law Enforcement Sightings: Thousands of policemen have reported UFO sightings and many have been harassed for doing so. Dozens of law enforcement officials and technical personnel have lost their jobs and more when they came forth with testimony regarding UFOs.

19. Witnesses Harmed and Harassed: Many people have been threatened when they came forward with personal accounts of witnessing UFOs. People have had their cars and houses burned when they came forward. They have had their mailboxes booby-trapped and blown up. They have received threatening or obscene phone calls in the middle of the night stating worse will happen to them if they persist.

20. Character Assassinations: The few scientists that have come forth with information about UFOs have been routinely ridiculed, chastised and been treated as pariahs if they persisted in examining UFO phenomena. They have been the recipients of character assassinations by the press, debunkers and even Congress when they have shown interest in this phenomenon. At the same time, the mistakes of debunkers have been ignored by the press, who continue to quote their erroneous statements.

21. Scientific Propaganda: Top scientists have written scientifically unsound books and articles denouncing all public sightings of UFOs. These propagandists do not appear to be very knowledgeable on the UFO topic, which could be demonstrated by even a casual reader of the literature, and yet no main stream reporter ever prints a word about it. Other pseudo-experts have written scientifically unsound books in their attempt to explain away all UFO sightings. These books invariably get good reviews from the mass media.

The worst propaganda is shown by three UFO books of Harvard scientist Dr. Donald Menzel, all UFO writings of Phillip Klass and the last twenty years of UFO writings by Carl Sagan.

22. Media Censorship: National wire services routinely kill the propagation of any remarkable UFO news story. Many honest reporters or documenters have had their stories greatly changed or killed because they were honest in their reporting. If they persisted, their careers were ended one way or another. This is shown clearly in Terry Hansen’s book, “The Missing Times,” where he goes over in great detail the censorship and propaganda used in the media on this topic. http://www.themissingtimes.com/

23. Media Propaganda: The mass media has spent much effort in the propaganda of this phenomenon. They have skillfully prepared not only news articles, but also documentaries that constantly misdirect the public from the reality of UFOs. The mass media has routinely given press time and coverage to people who claim to be experts in fields that would allow them to debunk aspects of UFO phenomena, when, in fact, these people have no scientific or technical background or have been shown to be repeatedly wrong in their arguments against the phenomena.

See many writings of nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman, where he points out many scientifically wrong ideas or illogical assumptions regarding UFOs that are routinely printed in the media, but never retracted. This is also shown clearly in the 1970 Ph.D. thesis of Dr. Herbert Strentz “A Survey of Press Coverage of Unidentified Flying Objects, 1947-66” from the Journalism Department at Northwestern University in Illinois , and the 1973 Ph.D. thesis of Dr. David Jacobs “The Controversy over Unidentified Flying Objects in America , 1897-1973,” from the History Department of the University of Wisconsin.

24. Unprofessional Media Behavior: The employees of the mass media corporations become almost child-like in their gullible acceptance of any government explanation regarding UFO phenomena. To prove this, one merely has to look at almost any story regarding this phenomenon that has been printed in the New York Times.

25. Government Gangsterism: The CIA and other government organizations have either, persuaded, coerced, threatened or killed people or organizations that would disseminate UFO information. Men in Black, MIB, is the term that came from incidents in the 1950s of mysterious people who approached UFO witnesses in an effort to silence them.

26. Government Confirmations: Generals, admirals and high-ranking military officers around the world have stated that UFOs are real. And yet, the government in general ignores these mature and successful leaders.

27. Scientists Confirm that UFOs Should be Studied: Scientists have stated UFOs are important phenomena to study, and yet the government has given no grants to do so. The USAF hired the Battelle Memorial Institute, a highly respected think tank, to analyze the UFO data they received from 1947-1952. They spent over two years examining the data and their over 200 page analysis showed that 31 percent of the sightings reported were either unknown or unexplained. This report was made on May 5, 1955 and was called Project Bluebook Special Report No.14 and was not given to the public. The Air Force casually stated to the public that, in terms of UFOs, this study found nothing of interest.

The July 29, 1968 Congressional Hearings’ “Symposium on UFOs” clearly indicates that UFOs are phemomena that should be seriously studied.

28. Government Documentation: The United States government and military officials have repeatedly lied about this topic. The United States government’s official position is that UFOs do not exist and, therefore, can pose no threat to Americans, but they routinely refuse to hand over old secret documents regarding UFOs through Freedom of Information Act requests. What sense does that make? I mean that if UFOs do not exist and cannot threaten national security, why hide old documents that refer to them.

The website, The Black Vault, by John Greenewald, Jr., found at www.bvalphaserver.com, has over 100,000 pages of United States government documents that were obtained thru FOIA requests.

Dr. Bruce Maccabbee’s book, “UFO FBI Connection,” makes use of 1,600 pages of FBI files obtained thru the FOIA requests.

29. World Confirmation: Finally, many different countries are aware of the UFO phenomena. They state that UFOs exist, they are unable to capture them, and they seem to pose no threat to Earthlings anywhere. A respected group of French military/intelligent analysts published the Cometa report on July 16, 1999 that stated UFOs exist and that the French government should have a special diplomatic relation with the United States , because it appears that the United States is the only country with direct access to extraterrestrial civilization phenomena. And yet, the American press has basically ignored this report, and some in it have stated that it isn’t even newsworthy. Now I ask, if one advanced nation states that another is not sharing their knowledge of extraterrestrial civilizations, how on Earth can that not be considered newsworthy?

30. UFO Organizations: There have been over a thousand formed since the late 1940s in the United States alone. Most were small groups of people, but some of the biggest and more important ones are/were:

This gives you a general idea of the wide range of information regarding the existence of UFOs. When people asked Dr. J. Allen Hynek, who was for over twenty years the Air Force’s official astronomer for debunking UFOs, “Where is the evidence for the existence of UFOs?” he would reply, “Where do you want me to send the truck?” There is so much documented information that it would take a large truck to hold some of it.

There have been over 10,000 books written on this subject. While most are very good, if I had to recommend two on this topic it would be the aforementioned “UFO Briefing Document” by Don Berliner et al and “Alien Agenda” by Pulitzer prize winning journalist and author Jim Marrs.

The United States government has thousands of top-secret and above top-secret files regarding UFOs that they will not disclose to the American people. CAUS, Citizens Against UFO Secrecy, has lobbied since 1977 to get these files out to the public. They have filed lawsuits against the Department of Defense, but to no avail.
