It would be interesting to find out how mind control techniques can be used
on a large scale to control large segements of the population. Hunger,
disorientation, isolation, electro-shock treatments and other forms of
torture can be used to break a person down. How possible is it then to have
the person tortured have their adoration transferred to a parent figure? A
perfect example is Big Brother in Orwell's "1984:.
If one can disable rational thought and manipulate behaviour on the
unconscious and emotional level, they have gone a long way in controlling
large segements of the global population. Already in place is a "us versus
them" mentality that has separated many people from each other. Examples are
one fundalmentalist religion against another or one political group against
another.
Isolating a person is an excellent method of micro managing them to the
point they regress to a childlike state of mind. Barriers are set up so that
the fresh flow of new ideas don't get spread around and all external stimuli
is shut down except for what comes from authourity figures.
If people can be held in a state of confusion, they can believe nothing of
significance can be known. Once this confusion sets in peoples minds it
quite often forms as suspended animation and puts people in a state of
mental paralysis. At this point I wonder if a couple of examples from
Orwell's "1984" could be put into place. One is that the authourities
claimed that the stars were small clumps of fire a few kilometers in the
sky, how many of us would be believe it? Same as if the moon and planets
were said to be cameras or spotlights recording peoples doings. Also
mentioned in "1984" was the Two Minute Hate. Would health care bureaucrats
take advantage of this after seeing the benefits of people releasing a lot
of internal rage and anger on a common enemy?
If a person is willing to do independent research, they will be able to sift
the truth from the lies and half truths. Doing this requires a person to
learn how to think and once this turth is known, a person is no longer able
to evade responsibility. To ignore this would be comparable to living in a
bureaucratic black hole.
