This event occurred in September 1965 and was the icing on the cake regarding UFO sightings. That fall many notable sighting were witnessed and thoroughly researched. The incidents included an encounter at Pease Air Force Base. The air force tried to cover-up the incidents but couldn't.

I was an investigator for APRO and also for a small group that was out of Virginia. There were so many cases that I could not do investigate them all. The police in Newburyport and Amesbury (a small town about 15 miles away from Exeter had so many cases that the police had me going out every night 7 nights a week.

UFOs were hovering over fields, flying up and down the Merrimac River and appearing at the Naval base in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The AFB and the Naval Base are about 5-6 miles away from each other. Is that a coincidence? I think not.

What was happening, as Ray Fowler points out in his book and as other have also, was the massive number of UFO sightings that occurred over a short period of time? There were reports of UFOs hovering feet above the secondary highways that led into and out of major highways.

On Route 101, that leads East and West of the NH seacoast and goes West into the middle of the state, one women actually took the on-ramp to get on it and almost hit a UfO as she went up the ramp and turned to go west, she had to slam on the brakes and it rose up and took off.
