We might also consider that no matter how bad the idea of ETs abducting people may be, the idea that elements, official or secret, of our own government/military could actually be abusing us in this sinister and ruthless a manner, the most likely truth of the matter, may be far worse to contemplate. At least with the ET hypothesis, some people can feel "special", if only in a negative way, and even bond together and commiserate with each other. Whether their sense of camaraderie or shared understanding, based on false assumptions and disinformation is as it is, is nonetheless of some value to them I am not in the position to say.
Several other things become apparent, if one does some research and thinking, regarding the whole negative ET premise. Perhaps previously not thought about among proponents of the ET theory is the contradiction between the apparent former ET presence on earth, as documented for thousands of years in art, history, legends and, most importantly, the still ongoing Meier UFO contacts, and the relatively recent demonizing of ETs.
Consider then the effect of the deliberately created negative representation of ETS, with the tremendous added power of the mass media over the past seven decades or so, and its propagation through and into the mass conscious and sub-consciousness, and the willingness of ever more gullible and impressionable people to be taken in and manipulated by these forces. Taking into account the millions and billions of people who continue to willingly succumb to centuries of pointless political manipulation, illogical religious beliefs and, more recently, the time wasting and mind draining diversions of sports fanaticism and entertainment addictions, and there should be little doubt as to how primed and ready multitudes of people have made themselves for being misled by this latest manipulation, i.e. the "alien abduction" pehnomenon.
And it should be clearly stated that the agenda behind this phenomenon may be linked to a larger overall plan that includes a false ET/UFO "threat from space" or attack, largely for the purpose of creating fear, panic, martial law, etc. and an all too willing compliance with the giving up of civil and legal rights in exchange for "protection" from this imaginary evil.
It is no surprise I'm sure that people know that I have drawn many conclusions from the Meier material, which I represent in the U.S. I must point out that we all refer to and use information other than that from our own direct experience. In comparing the Meier material with other available information, to the extent that I am aware of it, I have found the proven accuracy information in the Meier case to be without compare.
But rather than delve into the specifics of that vast reservoir of information, I will simply refer the reader to several articles that should serve as food for thought, especially if they have, for some reason, bought into the unsubstantiated "alien abduction" premise:
