This theory legitimizes the organized religious idea of these extraterrestrials only being interested in our civilization for harm to us.
It also answers the thought from religious individuals that the aliens actually introduced religion to us because in doing so they assured themselves that we would develop morals needed for overpopulation.
If we are to believe the religious idea of the extraterrestrials being sinister toward our human civilization we may very well be part of a grand Texas style alien BBQ. The only problem is we may be the hot dogs.
