However, a strange event occurred two days before the great "blackout" close to Melun (near to the Forest of Fontainebleau). Immense flashes, comparable to those of an electric arc, causing great red and green auras, swept the sky a little after 9:30 p.m. This unusual phenomenon was re-investigated by "The Invisible" magazine.

A note by Christian MACÉ : was this, in fact, the same observation "in the plain of Champfray", referred to above, with the revolving and moving UFO (in "LDLN" No. 182), as reported by "Invisible" the No. 11 in regard to the deposition of the witness to the gendarmerie of Ponthierry?

"Invisible" issue No. 11 quotes the date as "one week" before, which thus brings us to December 10, 1978!!!

However, observations of "the plain of Champfray", which is in the heart of the Forest of Fontainebleau, quoted by "LDLN" No. 182, noted the event as 11 December '78!!!

I have the distinct impression that "Invisible" No. 11 reported the observation of the 11 December 1978 over "the plain of Champfray"...

8) "On January 09, 1980: Biere Villiers (near the Seine and Marne), Mrs. TOURTIER observed above the plain of Biere Villiers, a very attractive light above a stationary black mass at the height of the trees. When the witness stopped, the phenomenon made a turn and disappeared. à Quoted from "LDLN" No. 193 (March 1980), p.34. This information appeared again in "The Parisian One" released on the January 11, 1980.

9) "Night Sighting from the 27 to July 28, 1980 near Value-Le-Pénil (between Seine and Marne). Witnesses saw a UFO in the sky of Damarys-the-Lily of conical form on top of its upper cylindrical part. From its lower section, "pencils of light" emanated at intervals. It moved in a Southerly direction." à Quoted from "LDLN" No. 198 (October 1980), p.34. This information was also reported and published in "The Republic of the Seine and Marne" of the July 28, 1980.

10) In March 1990, near Biere Chailly (in the Seine and Marne region).

Witness: Mr. Pino GALLIANO, was driving on the RN7 around 22 H (10 p.m).

Phenomenon observed: Seven fixed lights of the color "blanchâtre" (Blue White)... Source "LDLN" No. 304, pp.6 and 7.

11) The strange famous UFO of November 05, 1990 was seen in a sector of the Forest of Fontainebleau, which was not spared of this large UFO wave in France!!! The following localities in the vicinity experienced the UFO wave: Héricy, Dammarie Lilies, Moret on Loing, Veneux, Vulaine on the Seine, Ury, Melun!!! (See Franck MARIE's book, "UFO-Contact", 1993).

12) At the beginning of December 1992, near St Martin out of Beer (by the Seine and Marne).

Witness: Around 6 p.m., Mrs. MEE.was driving on D50, which connects Arbonne to Biere Fleury.

Phenomenon observed: A UFO not more than 30 meters in size. Mrs. MEE saw a "ball" of color blanchâtre (white-bluish) or "opal," which first circled around a walnut tree. Farther away and much higher in the sky, approximately in direction of Melun, two other "balls" of the same color also revolved and moved at high speeds and in many directions. This observation lasted half an hour!!! à Source: "LDLN" No. 319, pp.19 & 21.

13) November 19, 1993, at 11:15 a.m.

Location: Rochette, in Southern Melun. Mrs. Francoise B, a family assistant, standing at the entry of the Henri Matisse School in Rochette, observed a UFO with the odd shape in the form of Greek "phi".

14) November 22, 1993, at 16:40 (4:40 p.m.) in the Milly sector the Forest (Essonne). A couple was driving on the RN152, between Fontainebleau and Ury. Less than 1,000 meters from the end of the forest, they observed an immense red sphere which moved sharply.

15) December 03, 1993, near Achères-the-Forest (Siene and Marne).

Around 6:30 p.m., Mrs. B, wife of a well-known ufologist, and their small daughter, aged 12, were driving on a country road. They observed an elliptical form in the sky, then 3 "pencils of light" which swept the sky. When they arrived at the entry of Achères after leaving a forest road, they observed within 30 meters in front of them, an astonishing spectacle: the shape of a white luminous "grisâtre" (grayish) UFO moving in many directions, and a little later, two red lights were visible, located about at the same height above ground-level. à Source: "LDLN" No. 321, p.31.

16) At Vault La Reigne (Vault-of-the-Queen) near the Seine and Marne, at 11:45 p.m. July 16, 1994. Jessica CHANCLUD (15 years) observed a flying saucer at low altitude; originally reported in "Bank UFO" after an investigation on location by Christian MACÉ for "Bank UFO".

Note by Christian MACÉ: Jessica CHANCLUD was schoolmate of a daughter of Joel MESNARD!!!

I alerted Joel MESNARD and he also conducted its own investigation. It appeared in "LDLN" No. 327, pp.10-11. I noted the "possible connections of the UFO phenomenon with plants, minerals and animal mutilations" in the Vault-of-the-Queen observation of Jessica CHANCLUD in my study. It was her observation and my investigation, which justified this study.

I used the "Bank UFO" questionnaire in connection with my investigation with Jessica CHANCLUD. I noticed that she missed the box "straight and level flight" in the boxes "definitions of the flight" (at the time).

"On Whit Monday 1994, at 4:30 in the morning, I, myself, with two other people observed a UFO above the antennas of Ste-Base. Furthermore, we noted that nearby, opposite the residence of Jessica, there are also antennas - above the station of gendarmerie, and the fire rescue station. That did not escape Franck MARIE thereafter. I had read an article by Franck MARIE in an issue of the review "Mysteries." According to the information communicated in this magazine, it was reported that Franck Marie had noted that "the UFO flew over the signal centers" (antennas!) at the time.

16 (a) Addition of Ste-Base: Beyond the extension of the line of the "Radioelectric Center of Ste-Base Zone," a restricted area, guarded by the French National Navy, was a special location of UFO appearances, for example, consider this case:

The "Radioelectric Center of Ste-Base Zone" is close to the Forest of Fontainebleau.

18/06/94, at 1 a.m. in Vert St. Denis (near Seine and Marne) a "black triangle (estimated about 10 cm long viewed at arm's length), triangular green lights were seen going towards Ste-Base." This UFO report was taken from the central database of the UFO incidents of "Phenomenal Topicality" as reported in "Bank UFO "! (1994).
