I discovered this strange account of a Triangle UFO on the internet and consider it quite an important sighting as the witness who has to be referred to as "Mr. A" as he would like to remain anonymous is a pilot. The strange incident occurred in the early hours of October 26th 1999 and Mr. A was on his way back from a concert in Doncaster and was on his way back to Newcastle reasons for being in Newcastle was because his job involves a lot of travelling from place to place and staying in hotels. He was on route to Newcastle travelling along the A1 which is a major British runway which as i know from experience of travelling that road late at night it is deserted most of the time at night with only the odd car on the road. Mr. A was travelling along his friends car was in front of him and in front of his friend was another car the occupant he did not know.
The pilot had his dashboard lights turned down dim so he could concentrate on the road as he was very tired at that time in the early hours of the morning he recalls the clouds as the base being 3000 - 4000 feet and was broken across the sky. The witness stated he holds a private pilots license and as a result finds it second nature to make observations of the weather at all times. As he was travelling he noticed 3 lights in a triangular pattern travelling alongside the road out to his left he estimated the size of the craft as being around 2000 feet and lights the pilot was seeing then became obscured by the cloud and he speculated the craft was travelling under them. He watched for around 20 - 30 seconds he made sure what he was seeing was not a reflection of the dashboard lights and then received a call from his friend in front of him and his friend asked if he could see the triangle. After 30 seconds the object speed up so much that a motion blur was left like a trail from a shooting star. And that was all the witness saw of the strange triangle.
