The 21st century will prove to be the years in which scientific evidence can be brought forward to prove the existence of ghosts and spirits. On recent episodes of Ghost Hunters, the TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) team recorded and documented the sounds and movements of ghosts. Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson lead their ghost hunting team into various places where ghosts are said to be alive and witnessed. Does this prove the existence of ghosts in any way? I believe that it does. For years, no evidence could ever be recorded or even picked up by ghost hunters or those that believed in the existence of ghosts. Thanks to modern day digital equipment, these sounds can actually be recorded by ghost hunters and they are being used as scientific research study. If ghosts do exist, we are living in a time where the suggestion of them is being caught on tape.

Years ago, movies such as White Noise would have been considered fiction. The movie White Noise focused on EVP’s (Electronic Voice Phenomena). Electronic voice phenomena is believed to be the actual voices of the dead being caught on tape or recordable equipment. Thousands of these recordings can be found on the internet and through ghost hunter companies such as TAPS.

Ghost hunters usually do not warn ghosts before they are being taped. The ghost hunter will usually seek out a place where ghosts may have been seen by others or believed to exist in an actual area. Sometimes the ghost hunter enters a place uninvited and can be heard by actual ghosts. Sometimes the ghosts have responded well to these ghost hunters and other times the spirits have literally gone frantic over the very site of the living.

If you watch any ghost hunter series on television, you will notice that many of these ghost hunters view the dead as living. They know that the ghosts may get upset with them for spying or feel as though they have to make light of their presence. A professional ghost hunter will usually take their team into a haunted setting to investigate the existence of ghosts. It is important to take a digital camera and recorder with you if you seriously want to capture an image or voice of a ghost.

Many experts in the field of ghost hunting have noticed that they cannot see a ghost through their own physical eyes, but when they use a recording device, the ghosts often appear on their cameras and digital recording equipment. The naked eye and ear is often tricked because it often cannot see or hear spirits.

We are living in a historical period in history because the sounds and sightings of ghosts are beginning to be recorded by people from around the world. This new evidence is going to prove that ghosts do exist and that recorded samples can be given to the skeptics who have said for years that ghosts simply do not exist.

Even though ghost hunters have actual recorded evidence of the voices and sightings of ghosts, many skeptics still agree that it may be something in the recording device itself that may have been able to pick up these voices and images. The experts are no longer 100% certain that the existence of ghosts cannot be proven. As technology increases itself throughout the ages, we are going to see more advanced equiptment being built. We are actually at the beginning stages of proving the existence of ghosts.
