I had an unique encounter last night that woke me up to the realities of the human mind. As most of you know I live about 5-7 miles from the old Pease Air Force Base. Now this is the problem with UFO research. Let me continue.
As I was driving down a back road I noticed a large bright yellow-white light. No noise, no red or green lights just this huge ball shape yellow-white light hanging in the air, or so I thought. But was it?
I grabbed my binoculars got out of the car and listened for engine noise and or any running lights. I could not see any. But this enigmatic light was not an enigmatic light and was not enigmatic at all!
It was an aircraft going into Pease International Airport! How or why did it mess my head up? I am a seasoned UFO investigator! It should have not done that to me. What happened and why? I am about to tell you. This is the story behind the story.
When I saw the bright white light it was like a ball of light. When I got my binoculars out it still looked like a ball of light, why? The craft was huge and the landing lights were in the clouds. The Huge white/yellow lights were so bright it made the red/green lights not visible at all. All I saw was the huge white-yellow lights! But there was another factor, WIND!
The wind was blowing away from me. So the noise at that elevation was blowing away from me. I heard nothing! It was not until the aircraft turned and the plane actually headed to land that I actually saw the red and green lights. This not only shocked me but also opened my eyes so to speak as to the mistaken identity of what my eyes were seeing.
Then it made me wonder. How many common objects that other people see could be mistaken for UFOs? But that is what UFO investigators do!
