I received an email today from an active member of the Navy who had an interesting sighting some years ago, which confirms another sighting we have reported under the heading Backyard UFO. Because the reader is active in the Navy we will just use his first name which is Aviation ASW Operator First Class Michael (name withheld). The following is Michael's story.
My wife and I were watching a TV show about UFOs and it started us talking about it. I told my wife about one of my most vivid childhood memories, and that was seeing a UFO Seen From Pagoda Tower at Magic Mountain (now Six Flags Magic Mountain).
Pagoda Tower at Magic Mountain
I total her that my family was all looking out towards the park and I had turned around to look out the other side since it was too packed towards the park. While looking out at the small town (I figured it to be Santa Clarita via some maps) that was behind Magic Mountain, I noticed a gray saucer shaped craft very low to the ground over some houses.
It is a very vivid memory even to this day, the craft was just hovering there over the town and I was stupefied as to what was going on. When I finally snapped out of my daze, I turned and grabbed my mothers arm, and was dragging her to the other side of the tower. I told her to look out towards the town, she did and I followed suit, the craft was no longer there and I could not see where it had gone.
I was trying to figure out how old I was at the time 8 or 9, but I couldn't be sure, because the date wasn't fixed in my head. But, I will try to explain why I think it was the same day as the Backyard UFO. My family was moving to New Mexico that summer from California, and going to Magic Mountain and Disneyland where some of our favorite spots to go to. So, that summer my Mother and Father took us to all of the parks before we moved to New Mexico. If my memory serves me correctly, we drove to New Mexico roughly 2 weeks after this sighting. This makes sense to me that we would have been at Magic Mountain a couple of weeks prior the move.
