Argus

Argus was also known as the hundred eyes one because he had eyes all over his body. The size of him was not like any mortal man he was a giant. He was a servant of Hera, in which he served well. Argus was especially known for killing the bull which ravaged Arcadia.

Medusa

Medusa was one of the most powerful species called the Gorgons. They had snakes for hair, great tusks like swine's, brazen hands and teeth, and some were said to have wings of gold. The Gorgons were said to have been a race of warlike women living in Libya. They turned those who beheld or opposed them to stone. Medusa alone was mortal among the Gorgons.

Echidna

The Echidna was a horrible half woman half serpent. She viciously feed on mortal men. Echidna cared for her hideous brood of monsters that were fathered by Typhone. The names of their children are Cerberus, Hydra, Ladon, Chimera, the Sphinx and Neme. She was said to be slain by Argus in some accounts.

Ladon

Ladon was a dragon who guarded the garden of Hesperides, located in the Atlas Mountains. In this garden was something very special. It was a tree but not just any tree this one bore golden apples that gave immortality to whoever ate them. This tree was a gift to Hera from Gaia on her marriage to Zeus. Ladon was eventually killed by Hercules during his Twelfth Labor.

Charybdis

The Charybdis is a sea-monster. Three times a day it will take up water from the sea and spout it out again forming a whirlpool. After the whirlpool is formed she sucks down the water with whatever is in it. If you were to be caught in this whirlpool it is almost certain death. She lives on one side of the narrow Strait of Messina.
