Blue Orbs Hovered Only 10 Feet Above Roadway: New York Witness

A New York witness driving along Route 7 between Duanesburg and Schenectady reported watching and photographing "three blue orbs flying over the industrial park in a triangle formation" about 5:50 p.m. on February 7, 2013, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness described the orb movement witnessed near Rotterdam.

"They combined and came towards the road," the witness stated. "Over the road the super orb hovered and glowed red. By this point people on the road had come out of their cars, some staring in disbelief, others grabbing out cameras."

As the light moved close to ground level, the witness stated that electronic equipment began to be affected.

"The orb then descended to about 10 feet above the people watching and sat idly for awhile. The radio that was on, shut off, the engine of the car began to run funny (as if the electrical components were having issues) and when trying to take cell phone pictures, the phone immediately began to die."

The witness submitted one image with the MUFON report, which was filed on February 8, 2013.

The light then began to move away.

"The orb then split off in three directions, one direction being down the road towards schenectady.
Before it completely flew off, it flew in a square shape. The square trail holding illumination as the object itself flew away and the square began to dissipate."

Electronic equipment returned to normal after the light left the area.

"When the orb left the radio began to come on, but not in a normal way. There was a static as it slowly began to regain signal and function. The cell phone went back to being fully charged."

The witness commented on the submitted photo.

"The object showed up as yellow in the picture, not the red hue that it appeared to be in person."

Rotterdam is a town in Schenectady County, New York, population 29,094.

New York is a current UFO ALERT 4 rating, with a higher than average number of UFO sightings nationally. New York had 15 reports in January 2012 - the 8th highest reporting state while California had 75 reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.
