Disc-shaped UFO Over South Kearny, New Jersey

A South Kearny, NJ, witness reports watching and photographing an unidentified object in the sky at 1:31 p.m. on June 17, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness and a co-worker were watching an incoming thunderstorm when they saw the object.

"I have a 10x zoom on my camera and managed to get three pictures as it traveled from south to north in a pretty direct path over my job in South Kearny, NJ, before losing sight of it over our building at work," the witness stated.

Three images were uploaded with the MUFON report: Image # 1, Image # 2, and Image # 3.

The MUFON report was filed on June 17, 2011. The above quotes were edited for clarity. South Kearny is a town in Hudson County, population 40,684.

New Jersey is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a low number of UFO sightings nationally. New Jersey had 7 reports in May 2011 - and remains on our Watch List - while California had 55 UFO reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.

6/17/11 - 1:31pm - I work in South Kearny, NJ and at about 1:30pm I went out on the porh at work to see the on coming Thunder Storm.. I was talking to a co-worker when big flash of lightening struck.. We were watching the sky for more lightening and seconds later, I said to my co-worker, "What's that"?? First he said it was a bird, then said it was a black plastic bag then said, "I don't know".. I told him to keep it in sight and I'll go get my camera.. 

I have a 10x zoom on my camera and managed to get 3 pictures as it traveled from South to North in a pretty direct path over my job in South Kearny, NJ before losing sight of it over our building at work... 
All I know is that it was Unidentified and it was flying...
