Kentucky witnesses watched a silent, hovering object flashing colored lights for 40 minutes before it moved away on April 13, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witnesses noticed flashing colors – green, purple, orange, blue, red – coming from behind their home and walked to the backyard to investigate and discovered the object in the distance.
“Watched the object for 40 minutes as it moved slowly from right to left,” the reporting witness stated. “At times it seemed to have a line of the lights on either side of one main bright light in the center.”
Several planes passed over the object, which then slowly moved away from the witnesses.
“There was no sound coming from this object and a friend came to the house to witness this object. We were all surprised at what we were looking at and amazed at the same time.”
No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report, which was filed on April 14, 2011. No images or videos were submitted with the report.

Kentucky is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a low number of UFO sightings nationally. Kentucky had 7 UFO reports in March 2011 – while California had 45 sightings, the highest reporting state in the nation.
