An Arvada, CO, witness reported watching a “yellow-orange globe” that moved across the sky at the tree top level about 9:15 p.m. on July 16, 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness stepped outside after a band practice when the object was first seen.
“We all witnessed the yellowish, orange globe moving across the sky,” the witness stated. “Then it came back about 10 minutes later.”
The witness attempted to photograph the object as it returned, but now there were no lights.
“When I turned on my camera and the flash came on, the object went black. You could still see it but it was black now.”
The witness said that the object moved “a little above the tree top level” and that it faded into the sky as it moved further away.
“I worked for a major airline and this was very strange indeed.”
No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on July 18, 2012.Arvada is located in Jefferson and Adams counties, CO, in the Denver metropolitan area, population 106,433.
Colorado is a current UFO ALERT 4 rating, with a higher than average number of UFO sightings nationally. Colorado had 21 reports in June 2012 – the 10th highest reporting state while California had 84 reports – the highest reporting state in the nation.

CO, July 16, 2012 – Orange moving Object in Arvada 7/16/12. MUFON Case 40895.

It was a little above tree top level.
It faded into the sky as it moved further away.
