In the science fiction show, The X Files, FBI agent Fox Mulder engages on a
personal vendetta for the truth about UFO’s. Recent events in Texas have
brought that character’s personal quest into focus, for me at any rate, on how
this subject gets treated by the media. Recent sightings of an “Unidentified
Flying Objects” seen over Texas…descriptions from most of the people describe
it as ‘metallic”a mile long’, and moving silently. By all accounts, something
out of the ordinary, and something worthy of investigation.
However, and here is the rub, how do you perform an investigation without it
turning into a media circus, and the original sightings get buried under bad
press, biased press, or worse general media ridicule? The gut response is that
it is a secret military project..perhaps a stealth blimp test, or something in
that vein, and still others say it may be otherworldly in origin. At this
point, you get the media skeptic….usually some guy who says that mile long
shape was ‘swamp gas’ or ‘the moon’ that gets messed up by the people seeing
it…I’m not saying everything is what it is, but I think I know the difference
between a mile long silent metal object versus the moon. I know I sound like a
few extreme guys out there that scream ‘coverup!’, but the most glaring was the
recent admission of a govenor of Arizona who had seen a ufo during a rash of
sightings and his behavior, at the time, of UFO ridicule to concerned citizens.

I’ve been working on a UFO documentary film in between my other projects, and
it never fails to polarize people on all levels, which I find
interesting…that this one subject can evoke such a strong reaction. I’m
eager to get this film together later this year. I put together a ‘teaser
trailer’ for a while back, and it’s gotten pretty good response. Here it is if
you’re curious….the main gentleman speaking is my friend Earle from Kentucky
Mufon…the incident from 1955 is a shootout with frightened residents of
Hopkinsville, KY with strange creatures that terrorized a farmhouse, and
quickly disappeared.

were in the know coming out to talk about what they know about UFO’s. These
folks were goverment insiders, congressmen, pilots, doctors, and federal agents
from all parts of our goverment and abroad.

There was some media interest, but quite frankly, it was buried under
tinseltown gossip about the latest smacked out actress / pop singer of the
moment. I used to think that UFO’s were a contemporary construct, but I’ve
done research, and come up with some interesting items from history. I think
my favorite is the tales of the Dogon tribe….they hold a festival every 60
years to celebrate the renewal of the universe, and a french archaelogist got
the trust of the Dogon elders, and they told him of secret knowledge of a ‘half
human/half fish’ alien species called the Nommo from the star Siruis (which
holds a special place in Dogon ceremonies)…these Nommo lived near the tribe a
long, long time ago , and eventually went back home to their home near the star
Sirius. The interesting thing is that Dogon tribe talk of the ‘three stars of
Siruis’ for generations, and it is only now with advancements in astronomy that
there is evidence for three stars of Sirius of Dogon lore.
