The witness saw two objects that seemed to move at speeds incapable of domestic aircraft.

A California witness driving southbound along the 57 freeway from San Dimas heading toward Orange County reports that a “bright-white, glowing disc appeared out of nowhere,” hovered momentarily and then “took off at what seemed to be an impossible speed heading south in a perfectly straight line” on December 13, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness said the object may have been enormous.

“It was either big or somewhat close,” the witness stated.

The witness had a hard time describing how fast the object moved.

“It took off so fast that it had a triangular trail following it. Only thing I can compare the trail to is what maybe a “Star Trek” or “Star Wars” ship looks like as it jumps into lightspeed. I was in the military and I’ve seen supersonic aircraft and this was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It was so fast I can’t really put words to it.”

The object also had an unusual characteristic.

“The object seemed to have a glowing blue ring inside what appeared to be a white glowing surface.”

As the witness connected to the westbound 22 freeway, another similar object was seen at a higher altitude.

“I saw a much higher object do the same maneuver. The direction was west. This object was too high for me to see if there was color in addition to the white glowing surface. This object too shot across the entire length of the visible sky in virtually no time and disappeared. The reason I noticed this object is because I couldn’t take my eyes off the sky because of what I observed the first object do.”

No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report, which was filed on December 14, 2011. No images or videos were included with the report. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

California is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a high number of UFO sightings nationally. California had 72 reports in November 2011 – the highest reporting state in the nation.
