A fleet of objects including 18 mysterious spheres of light was captured using both still photography and video as it crossed the skies near City Hall in Vancouver, BC on Sunday, July 24, 2011. In an email from earlier that day, local Canadian videographer Les Murzsa cited precognitive dreams from the night before that prompted him to assemble his cameras and remain on alert throughout the afternoon. Taping of the first incident commenced at 6:16pm PST and by 6:26pm PST, Mr. Murzsa called the offices of the Vancouver UFO Examiner to leave a voicemail explaining how he had just filmed “the biggest sighting” of his life. This reporter was on the scene within hours, collecting evidence and producing additional night vision video demonstrating how a group of UFO’s was active in the area up until nearly six hours after the original incident. More Than a Feeling
Claims by contactees submitting date and time stamped written testimony of UFO dreams before videotaping such incidents the following day invoke the role of precognition in human experience as a probable mechanism of non-physical human contact with extraterrestrials. Wired has reported how Cornel University Professor of Psychology Daryl Bem’s paper, “Feeling the Future: Experimental Evidence for Anomalous Retroactive Influences on Cognition and Affect,” published inThe Journal of Personality and Social Psychology described “the results of nine different experiments, conducted on more than 1000 subjects. All of the experiments revealed slight yet statistically significant psi anomalies, with an average effect size of 0.21 across all experiments.”
Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind
The “Close Encounters” model originated by Dr. J. Allen Hynek attempts to describe various stages of human contact with extraterrestrials. Dr. Hynek was a UFO scientist employed by the US federal government who wrote in his book The UFO Experience – A Scientific Inquiry how “[The 1960’s US Air Force Project] Blue Book was a “cover-up” to the extent that the assigned problem was glossed over for one reason or another. In my many years association with Blue Book, I do not recall ever one serious discussion of methodology, of improving the process of data gathering or of techniques of comprehensive interrogation of witnesses.”
Dr. Steven M. Greer’s Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) introduced CE-5 incidents to the Close Encounters model, defining them as “a fifth category of close encounters with Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI), characterized by mutual, bilateral communication rather than unilateral contact. The CE-5 Initiative has as its central focus bilateral ETI-human communication based on mutual respect and universal principles of exchange and contact. CE types 1-4 are essentially passive, reactive and ETI initiated. A CE-5 is distinguished from these by conscious, voluntary and proactive human-initiated or cooperative contacts with ETI. Evidence exists indicating that CE-5s have successfully occurred in the past, and the inevitable maturing of the human/ETI relationship requires greater research and outreach efforts into this possibility. While ultimate control of such contact and exchange will (and probably should) remain with the technologically more advanced intelligent life forms (i.e., ETI), this does not lessen the importance of conscientious, voluntary human initiatives, contact and follow-up to conventional CE-s types 1-4.”
One source reports that “the nature of this bilateral, deliberate communication between the intelligent source and the subject is generally claimed to be (but does not have to be) telepathic.”
