Subject: Jon Hilkevitch On O'Hare UFO 01-08-07
I'm forwarding this post to you since it evidently didn't make it into UFO Updates. I also sent it to Mr. Hilkevitch at the Chicago Tribune.
Perhaps you can run with the FAA part, or know someone who can.
If the statements posted by the reader are true, there's a goldmine of information lying underneath.

"I sat on a plane at the Port Columbus, Ohio, airport for at least an hour on the afternoon of Nov. 7. This flight was scheduled to arrive at O'Hare at 4:30 p.m. (the same time as the>UFO sighting).
The flight was further delayed for about another hour and circled the airport waiting to land. The pilot was not able to provide us with a reason for the delays. My daughter said when she arrived at the airport to pick me up around 4:30 that there were very many military personnel at the airport."

This is probably the most important quote in Hilkevitch's article.
"…'There have been documented cases where safety appears to have been implicated, and more and more we are coming to the point of view that we are dealing with an intelligent phenomenon', said Richard Haines, Science Director at the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena, a private agency. "
Does anyone know whether or not airport take-off and landing-logs can be obtained from O'Hare for Nov 7th, 2006 between 4 pm- 6 pm,, and 4 weeks prior, to get a typical activity rate of take-offs and landings during those hours?
Does the FAA supply those to requestors?
Was airline traffic at Midway, or other airports, affected?
Who else flew into or out of O'Hare on the afternoon of Nov 7th?
Who else picked up a passenger at O'Hare on the afternoon of Nov 7th?
What kind of military troops were observed?
Army? Marines? National Guard?
Where were they sighted and what were they doing?
How many were sighted?
What kind of uniforms were they wearing?
Cammo fatigues? Combat boots?
Were they carrying weapons - rifles or machine guns?
Were there any high-ranking officers visible (Lt. Col. and above)?
What was their mood? Were they tense? Neutral? Laughing?
Were any troops talking on walkie-talkies (mobile radio)?
Were there large Army trucks parked outside the terminal?
