I received an email from Fionán Healy of Dublin, Ireland. He has a friend, Carly Rose who is a friend of Alexandra Holzer (Alexandra writes a syndicated monthly column called "Spirit Talk" which appears in UFO Digest.com). Alexandra suggested Fionán contact me regarding his UFO sighting.
Fionán describes his sighting:
Last Thursday night around 10 pm. I was on my way home from visiting my girlfriend. She lives in Blackrock, Co Dublin, which is close to the Dublin bay coast. I walked up onto the Stillorgan dual carriageway where I proceeded to wait for a bus. I was sitting at the bus shelter that faced two apartments blocks directly in front of me with a gap between the two that looks out in the direction of Dublin Bay, which is east.
I saw a really intense light, which I assumed to be a plane's head lights out in front of me, except it, didn't seem to really move for almost five minutes and that didn't make any sense. I estimate that it was 1.5 miles out over Dublin bay.
I didn't think it was a helicopter because there were no flashing lights, but I didn't rule out an airplane, because it could have been moving at an odd angle coming directly toward me, but this was not the flight-path to the local airport.
There wasn't a single flashing light to be seen and it seemed too low to be a commercial flight! I saw what I recognized to be an airplane taking the traditional approach to the Dublin Airport. It was out past HowthHead, nowhere near the other light.
Well this went on for about 5-8 minutes so I took out my camera just to zoom in and see if I could see the shape, but it was hard to make out everything. It was not that it was out of focus and my zoom isn't that great anyway, so I put it on the standard nigh time setting and alternate red between using some with flash and some without. As you can see from the shots you can make out everything so its not that out of focus and on img_2482, the object appears to have shifted shape. If you look closely in the middle of the orb/UfO, there seems to be a 5-point petal shape pattern and in each petal shape are two squares.
