Given the number of sightings over so many countries in recent times, it’s an open question as to whose ass might get kicked if any of these obviously superior craft were to go on the offensive.
Instead, as far as we can tell, they play cat and mouse with the world’s fastest jets, seeming to entice them to scramble and climb, lock on ..and then, a split second before the pilot hits the button, the target is simply...gone.
Torres returned to base and was debriefed by a man in a smart suit. He was told to keep his mouth shut or face the consequences because this was a national security issue. The consequences under those circumstances are extremely severe – up to and including imprisonment, or death.
So although a few have spoken out and got away with it, the majority (we can assume) have remained silent. Which means "national security" is not compromised – which in turn means that those responsible for said national security do not have to admit that there are huge and gaping holes in their ability to protect the world from these non-aggressive aircraft-carrier-size UFOs.
But they continue blowing smoke, or is it that they do what they can to generate foggy thinking about what’s truly going on. The same article quotes a so-called "UFO expert" as saying "the sighting may have been part of a secret U.S. project to create phantom aircraft on radar screens to test Soviet air defenses."
Yeah! Right! And this level-headed Sabre jet fighter pilot was ordered to scramble, locate, lock on and shoot down a phantom aircraft? In his own words, "the larger the airplane, the easier the lock-on; this blip almost locked itself. I had a lock-on that had the proportions of a flying aircraft carrier."
As civilians, we have no control over what goes on in the black budget arena. We know little to zero about how far man-made technologies have advanced in terms of top secret craft. For all we know, there may already be vehicles capable of space flight, interplanetary travel, even radar invisibility – not to mention invisibility to the human eye.
In that sense, the long-standing official position that most UFO sightings can be explained as weather balloons and swamp gas serves a purpose. It keeps us confused, and any man-made or back-engineered test craft that might be spotted can be explained away as fireflies or flares or ball lightning.
But how do you explain this most unusual picture taken in Australia in August 2008?
It appears huge in the original picture, but because there is nothing but clouds to judge its relative size by it’s not possible to say exactly how big this craft might have been.
So in that sense, it is an unidentified flying object (of course, a "UFO expert" might tell us it is a gaggle of weather balloons, a herd of fireflies, or a platypus in a Halloween costume. Or perhaps it’s an aircraft carrier?).
Seriously though...photographer Donna Russo provided the following information: "Exact location - was taken from inside my car - Christine Ave, (almost at the junction of Varsity parade and Christine Ave) Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast Queensland, Australia. About 500 meters from Bond University. I am fascinated by clouds and the universe and took this photo (22 Aug 08 at 10.07 am) not knowing the lights were there. My 13yo daughter noticed them."
