Garneau answered a few questions posed by Ms. Tabler.

Asked about extra-terrestrials visiting the earth:

“I know that a large number of people believe we have been visited because they believe that some of those unexplained things in the sky must be because someone is looking at us,” he said in an interview with The Globe. “I’m not of that category”

According to the article: But when it comes to having been visited by an extra-terrestrial, Mr. Garneau is clear: “I personally do not believe we have.”

Garneau was the first Canadian in space taking part in three flights aboard NASA Space shuttles. He was the president of the Canadian Space Agency from 2001 to 2006, and in 2003 was installed as the ninth Chancellor of Carleton University in Ottawa. wikipedia.

Garneau’s NASA missions: STS-41-G in 1984, STS-77 in 1996, STS-97 in 1999-2000.

As a Canadian I was very proud that Marc Garneau took part in the Canadian Astronaut Program and was chosen to be part of NASA’s Space Shuttle program.
