The Lady of the Lake and the Holy Grail

The Lady of the Lake and the Holy Grail

The Lady of the Lake taking the infant Lancelot. From Tennyson‘s Idylls of the King(wikipedia)

Lancelot is raised by the magical Lady of the Lake who sends him to King Arthur’s court. He becomes the father of the purest knight of the Round Table, Galahad. It is Galahad who finds the Holy Grail with help from Joseph Arimethea. It is said Joseph is a relative of the Holy Family. Galahad like Jesus, Elijah, and Enoch goes to heaven. It can be said the foster child (Lancelot)of the Lady of the Lake (Vivianne) produces the pure Sir Galahad.

“My good blade carves the casques of men,/My tough lance thrusteth sure,/My strength is as the strength of ten,/Because my heart is pure.” Says Galahad

In Sebastian Bourdon’s Lamentation of Christ, Mary Magdalene is weeping for the dead Jesus and at her knees are two children. At first I thought they were little cherubim but  the faint wings for the little angelsbarely can be seen . They appear as twins and the same age. I found this interesting because it seemed other artists had these children or cherubim.

Some of the artists ranged from the years of late 1500’s and 1600’s.

Sebastian Bourdon studied Poussin’s paintings when in Rome 1636. Did Bourdon do this on purpose to indicate that Magdalene may have had children? He was a Protestant born at Montpelier and had to leave Rome in 1638 to avoid the Inquisition.  Is Bourdon painting the children of Mary Magdalene or one of the other children of the Holy Family looking on the scene? A story is told by Claude Lorrain another painter of that time that Bourdon could copy anything in fifteen minutes of which Lorrain saw him copy his work and chased him from his house.Bourdon studied Poussin as well as others work in Italy. The Holy family includes Jesus’s brothers and sisters from their father Joseph as well as Mother Mary’s sister Mary Salome and her children. Joseph Arimathea is said to have a family and related to Jesus. Is the symbolism of the cherubim or little children representing the Holy Family? Jesus warns the Women of Jerusalem their children would better not born to some.Their existence coverd up. (Luke. 23:28-31)

Jesus turning to them said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never gave suck!’ Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us’; and to the hills, ‘Cover us’. For if they do this when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?”

Poussin’s Lamentation of Christ is like Bourdon in which there are two children crying standing by Mary Magdalene. One child has wings but the other child I can’t see his. Who is this child who cries for Jesus. Everyone around belongs to Jesus family.

In the picture are two cherubim crying for Jesus and a young woman comforting Mother Mary as she holds her child Jesus. An urn, golden bowl, and a sponge are to the side which is used for cleaning and preparing the body. Poussin influenced Bourdon’s work. He painted the mysterious painting Et Ego Arcadia. While in Rome Poussin met up with a Abbe Fouquet who was brother of Nicholas Fouquet the treasurer of Louis XIV writes of “Monsieur  Poussin has advantages which even kings would have pains to draw from him” He goes on to say and make the prediction nobody will rediscover in the centuries to come. Bourdon came from Montpelier in the midst of Cathar country. It is interesting both artists have the twin children in their paintings.

Saint Bartholoma on the Lake of Konigssee(Lady of the Lake)

The lake at Konigssee is so pure that it is a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco.

St Bartholomo at Lake Konigssee

The Lakes water is one of the purest in the world. I remembered Sir Galahad’s words

My strength is as the strength of ten, /because my heart is pure.” Lake Konigssee is home to St Bartholoma a church built in 1134. It is where I came across a picture of woman angel and baby angel in a picture of one of the Stations of the Cross number thirteen. Thirteen is the number that was unlucky for the Templars who on October 13 1307 were arrested by King Phillip and tried by the Vatican for heresy. The station of the cross has a woman angel and baby angel (cherubim). Mother Mary has a halo and Jesus but there are no halos for the woman angel or child angel. I have never seen a station of the cross like this.  The Da Vinci Code and Holy Blood Holy Grail argue that some royal families believed Jesus had a family. The idea of Jesus having a family (wife, uncles, and aunts) has been downplayed by the church. Thirteen is a significant number here.

Virgin on the Rocks by Da Vinci

Here at one of the purest lakes in the world is the picture of a woman angel kneeling with a baby angel next to the Mother Mary and her son Jesus. The Holy Grail and the Holy Bloodline of Jesus’s family were considered sacred and yet were hunted down and killed some authors say. One example cited is the assassination of the Merovingian Dagobert.

In Matthew 27: 59- 60, “Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there opposite the tomb.” The mother and his companion Magdalene is called by Apostle Phillip’s gospel. Phillip talks about the close relationship of Jesus and Mary. The station of the cross is thirteen and the letter M is the thirteenth letter in the alphabet. The Miraculous Medal has thirteen words 13 words compose the invocation to the Virgin on the Miraculous Medal: O Mary, conceive without sin, pray for we who have recourse to you. It is said that Mary’s Assumption occurred on Friday the 13th as well as Christ death. In the vision of Fatima the peasant children saw the visions on May 13, October 13, and July 13. It was May 13 that Pope John Paul II was shot and some say was saved when he turned at the last minute to see a picture of Our Lady of Fatima. The number thirteen means cleans and purifies. A cabbalist considers thirteen symbolizes the dragon or murderer but to a Christian symbolizes Virgin Mary crushing the head of the serpent.

The name of the church is Saint Bartholomew. Bartholomew was one of the twelve apostles but not much has been known about him. The Gospel of Saint Bartholomew is an apocryphal gospel of the New Testament. Bartholomew talks about his visions of hell and Jesus explains to him what he saw when he was there. Bartholomew sees the Angel with the flaming sword unnamed here but is known as Archangel Uriel. Uriel is the angel in Da Vinci’s Virgin on the Rocks which has a lake and rocks all around. He is protector of the Holy Family. The Gospel of Bartholomew “This was one of the angels of vengeance which stand before my Father’s throne: and this angel sent he unto me. And for this cause he would not ascend up, because he desired to destroy all the powers of the world. But when I commanded him to ascend up, there went a flame out of his hand and rent asunder the veil of the temple, and parted it in two pieces for a witness unto the children of Israel for my passion because they crucified me.

It is this Archangel Uriel(angel with flaming sword) who returns in the Vision of Fatima proclaiming Penance Penance. Archangel Uriel has a close relationship with the Holy Family and in the Apocryphals .In Da Vinci’s Madonna on the Rocks the Archangel Uriel (a female angel) protects and saves the family of John the Baptist reuniting them with Jesus’ family. Bartholomew writes also about Mary talking about her visitation with the angels. Some angels were bringing her food but the powerful angel brings something else.

But he put his hand beneath me and raised me up, and I looked up into heaven and there came a cloud of dew and sprinkled me from the head to the feet, and he wiped me with his robe. And said unto me: Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the chosen vessel, grace inexhaustible.

The Archangel Gabriel describes Mary as the chosen vessel grace inexhaustible. This cup quenches everyone’s thirst. The Holy Grail contained the Sangraal “blood royal”. Lancelot’s son Galahad is the only one pure enough to find the Holy Grail. We are now in the century 2000 of which the Roman Numerals would be MM. We have had a correction in believe that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute and now the possibility she may be sitting next to Jesus at the Last Supper. Her Gospel was found in1906 but finally published in 1983. We are now able through the internet to obtain the works long locked up from the general public and a new wave of learning and insights shine forth. Bourdon and Poussin paintings of the Lamentation of Christ may reflect a young Mary Magdalene surrounded by two children (cherubim). Were these artists and secret societies hiding the secret of the Holy Family and their plight of being hunted down and killed? The Grail legend of the Lady of the Lake tells us she raises the child Sir Lancelot who becomes one of the greatest Knights of the Round Table only to fall due his love for Guinevere. It takes his son Galahad the purest of all knights to collect the Holy Grail and is carried forth to heaven and saves the dying land (Earth) of Camelot. The Lady of the Lake Viviane is protector and her powerful magic saves the day. Lake Konigssee is the purest lake and holds water for the Austrian people to drink. Water is the giver of life. Pure water is hard to find these days on Mother Earth. I’m proud that the Austrian and German people respect the lake and by doing this the lake will give them life. I’m interested in your thoughts are these coincidences or are they connected?
