Send In The Clones

The human race is a great source in providing material for stand up comics and late night talk show hosts. One group from a few years ago was the Raelians that supplied a lot of good laughs at the time. One of their claims was that us humans were cloned from space aliens some 25,000 years ago.

Back in November 2002 I went to a Raelian presentation in Saskatoon where I was living at the time. I left 2 hours later quite unconvinced of what they had to say. There was about 20 to 25 of us in attendance. One older fellow left in a huff, saying the Raelians had it wrong but didn’t go into any details on why or what his alternatives were.

At the time Raelians claimed two babies were born as a result of cloning with a third one on the way. I don’t recall seeing or hearing of any evidence from the parents or Raelians that would have proven their story.

While at their presentation in Saskatoon, one of the two women said that UFO’s are there, we just have to look for them. Every clear night I take a look at the night sky whether it be by my eyes or telescope. I do wonder how many UFO sightings are natural phenomena or new types of aircraft, made by us, being given test runs. I’m afraid I won’t believe in alien abductions stories until it happens to me.

Then there was the group who believed a UFO was right behind the Hale-Bopp comet. I thought that committing suicide was a rather high fare to pay for a ride on a spacecraft. I wonder if they found what they were looking for.
